We only stayed for one night at this Ryokan. That was a mistake, we should have sent another night. The hospitality extended to guest is first class. We let the manager know that we would be catching one of the early buses to be able to spend more time viewing the Snow Monkeys. They allowed us to leave our luggage...

We are a couple and stayed here in April 2017. According to their website, we stayed in the room called "Special Room Futari-shizuka on the 2nd floor of Tsukimitei." During our 9 day trip to Japan, including Kyoto and Tokyo, our one night stay at this ryokan was the unforgettable highlight and I really wish I had booked it for...

We stayed in the Ryokan for 1 night and we super enjoyed the experience. The hostess wad extremely nice, she welcomed us and took us to our room, brought us a green tea and explained about the place. The room is large, drcorated according to Japanese tradition. We set and drank tea under warm table, which was covered with warm...

We had the most wonderful time in this Ryokan. Service was amazing, food was carefully considered, prepared and served to tantalise. We loved everything about this place. Reasonably priced considering meals & shuttle transport included.

The staff is so accommodating and friendly. The piece and quiet of the tiny village is relaxing. The space is very traditional and clean. The food is varied and the portions are great. We loved our stay there and highly recommend it!

I really can't praise this lovely ryokan or its dedicated staff, highly enough. This was our first experience of staying in a ryokan and from the moment we arrived we knew we were in a very special place. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our spacious accommodation which included a private onsen. Our charming host prepared green tea in...

We had an excellent and memorable stay at this superb Ryokan. It was our first experience in a Ryokan and we were not really sure what to expect. However the quality of the little villa we got and the hospitality of the staff was far in excess of our expectations! We even had a little onsen in our room! The...

I honestly don't think I could rave enough about this place! This was my first night in Japan after dreaming about visiting both the country and the snow monkeys for years and it was a totally perfect introduction. The ryokan is immaculate, both the communal and private onsen are totally stunning (the gentle dusting of snow we received added even...

I was here with my girlfriend and this place is really worth a stay if you don't mind splurging for your trip. And one night is not enough! Like many have said, the icing on the cake is the breakfast and dinner. We are definitely coming back.

A family run boutique style lodge with traditional Japanese rooms and in room baths. Interesting for a night or two but westerners need to be aware of what is on offer. Very friendly + helpful staff. Very convenient location for the Snow Monkeys in winter. Evening dining in house was exceptional (if you like Japanese food). Japanese food for breakfast...
