A nice hotel for ski in / ski out location however it is a bubble style hotel with a high price to match. The rooms are comfortable, well serviced and every room has a window view of the slopes. Unfortunately there is no onsen in this hotel. This is also no village environment. The hotel is the only area for...

We have stayed at Shiga Kogen Prince West for 4 nights while boarding at Shiga Kogen. The are only a few good things about this hotel - ski in/ ski out experience, onsen, nice view of the mountain slopes and the price. On the negative side - the hotel is in dire need for renovations. The wallpaper was peeling, beds...

We stayed in Prince Hotel East Wing. It is the newest among three wings, where are well connected by shuttle bus. However it is by far less convenience. Meals are expensive compare with dining out. On weekdays no lunch is served, even the convenience stores closes from 12:30 to 3:30. To have decent lunch on weekdays we need to walk/take...

We stayed in the Prince West and found it anything but cheap. The restaurants in Ichnose were far more reasonable for lunch and evening meals. Lunch options in any other resort (of which there are many) were far more affordable, accessible and pleasant than the two options we found in the whole of Yakibitiyama (managed by the Prince West, East...

This was the second year we have stayed at Prince West, On arrival the young Gentleman at the desk was very helpful and his English was very good. When we booked we asked for a quiet, non smoking room,we got the quiet, second to last room on the third floor bit of a trek to the lift but we were...

Like most hotels in Japan this one is in need of updating to say the least. The price is extortionate considering the tiny rooms and non existent service. All the food is buffet style in the west wing and they won't even enter your room to clean or empty bins unless you've been there four nights. Don't get your hopes...

If you are here just for the skiing, then this is a good place to stay. Easy access to the lifts, good ski rental options, on site storage for your ski gear and equipment and relatively friendly staff. There are three buildings and while you could walk to each, they are quite a distance away from each other. We stayed...

We knew the Prince had received poor previous write-ups so we were not expecting too much. We found the staff absolutely delightful, very warm and polite. We spent four nights at South Wind then five at West Wing. The hotel smelt, the rooms were tiny and this wouldn't have been such an issue if there were hooks to hang up...

Just returned from there. It is best for ski stay. My friend said it is an upgraded hostel but low-end hotel. Overall room size is acceptable and just-fit for purpose. 4 single sofa beds. The back support is a full length cabinet. Under each bed, there are two A3 size plastic boxes for storage in addition to room for a...

I have very mixed feelings about this hotel. We really enjoyed our holiday, but a few things disappointed me. We stayed in the West Building, the 3 wings are operated fairly independently (e.g. South/East can't use the public baths at West), and they're about 5-10 minutes walk apart. West is the closest to Ichinose, then South and then East, which...
