For the past 10 years we have used P&V for apartments for skiing, and always rented a superior apartment because we like the extra space this gives us. This property was nowhere near the standard expected. Dark (not enough lighting), not enough seating, not enough space, not enough storage space for clothes, no plug points for charging phones, a really poor layout and an insistence by the residence staff that this was a superior apartment.
If you're a complete beginner to skiing as we were, we learnt that getting to/from the ski schools were a walk down/uphill from the residence. This was a battle carrying ski equipment, children and trying to walk in uncomfortable ski boots! Once we had a little ski knowledge it was far easier accessing ski schools, lifts and slopes etc as you were able to whizz down the piest! I'd therefore suggest this accommodation is perfect for experienced skiers. Hotel facilities were faultless. The first couple of days the swimming pool was freezing but it must've been sorted as the rest of our stay it was delightful! Highly recommend pre-booking the breakfast package which is delivered to your door each day 😊 Our room had a beautiful view of the mountains. and The rooms were spacious. My only quibble would be that some of our sheets had a stale smoke smell (we're non smokers). I mentioned this to reception after our first night, but found a new load of sheets dumped in our room upon arrival that afternoon. I'd had hoped house keeping would've changed the sheets but guess it's because it's an apartment and not a hotel nor did we prebook any additional midweek housekeeping. …
We had a great time at this resort. All the amenities were there like the kitchenette with microwave, hobs, radiator, towels, and all the rooms were very clean. Also there were lifts to reach every floor which was very convenient for physically challenged. Please make sure the last mile to reach the resort as they are not listed on google maps.
We stayed here in April and had a lovely visit. The chalet was clean and tidy, well stocked with home electricals including a coffee machine, coffee percolator, kettle, toaster, microwave and grill and hairdryer. We were also provided with basic washing equipment (sponge, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and surface cleaner), mop, broom and vacuum cleaner. We found the room perfect for our needs (we were a couple in a room for 'four'), you would seriously struggle to accommodate even one additional person in this room. We had to pay a surcharge for only having two people. Our friends found the room fairly small for their needs (there were four of them in a room for 'six')... again, you would seriously struggle to accommodate even one additional person in their room. They also had to pay a surcharge for having fewer than the 'capacity'. The only real downside for us was that the pool and 'relaxation' area was full of children. Children were even in and out of the sauna and steam rooms! After a long day skiing, we wanted to relax as a couple which was difficult with the level of noise right up to the close at 8pm. I understand that families use the accommodation and have no issue with this, however would appreciate some 'sanctuary' space. In my opinion this accommodation was good for our needs, however lacked slightly in some areas.…
Booked holiday through ski solutions. Pleasantly surprised with accommodation upon arrival. We were 4 adults and had 2 bedrooms and a mezzanine, plenty of space! Location excellent, ski in and ski out although due to our visit being late in the snow on the return to our hotel had melted by the end of the week. As others have mentioned there is a steep walk up to the hotel but you can get the gondola up and walk down until 11pm we preferred this option as it was less work after a long day skiing. Only 2 robes provided in room despite 4 adults staying, this was a real shame when one of our group injured themselves and couldn’t come out during the day and wanted to use the pool area during the day. With some gentle persuasion the receptionist eventually provided her with one free of charge (apparently they are €9). Pool area particularly busy early evening, can’t imagine how busy it would get during high season! Only downside was the lack of basic supplies, eg. bin bags and toilet roll, I understand it’s self catering but not sure everyone needs to buy a roll of bin bags for a weeks stay. Dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid and surface cleaner was however provided and kitchen was ample with space and equipment to cook for 6 (we had friends in another apartment). Overall very pleased with accommodation and value for money.…
