My wife and I stayed at this large hotel on 2016/10/7, third day of a guided group tour. The quality of the onsen is not impressive. The design of the indoor onsen is bad that the condensed water dripping back to our hair. The service at the gift shop is poor. My wife bought tax-free items which need some paper... More

We stayed a night here in order to explore the area fully. there are lots of nice hiking routes for seeing red leaves. The hotel is kind of old, staff speaks rudimentary English. Our room is a standard japanese style room. Its of a reasonable size. There is no futon/tatami at first as they will set it up in the... More

We came here as part of a tour group. We were two to a room and yes the room was just nice for two with an awesomely sized bathroom segregated for shower and toilet purposes. The beds looked so comfy on their platform with a small low table and chairs off the platform. The highlight of the evening was the... More

Pros: 1) The sulphur-rich onsen felt very different and therapeutic (if you don’t mind the smell). Try venturing to the small outdoor area to inhale icy cold air! 2) If the weather permits, the hotel is a walking distance from the Ginga No Taki Falls. 3) Hotel café serves free coffee till 10pm. 4) Added Perk: Right across the road... We were given a western style room with modern interior design , was quite impressed. Buffet dinner and breakfast were included in our stay package . Dinner was good , wide variety of choices Breakfast was less impressive and limited choices of food We tried the 7th floor onsen which is only indoor , didn't managed to try out their... More

Visited this Onsen Resort with my husband and young kid. We love this place. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Resort is nicely decorated with a homely feel. We stayed in the traditional Japanese room and were very happy with the spacious area. A very good experience for my little girl who was happily surprised that the beds were... More

Buffet breakfast is okay. Room is okay too. However, their operated coffee machines make pretty strong cup of joe. What I love the most is their hot bath facility (onsen), and their location near the river. The hotel does not have backyard, but it does have a spacious parking space. There is 7-eleven across from the hotel but does not... More

We had the modern room and we enjoyed it. The food at the restaurant was just ok. We tried both the public and private onsen, both are just alright. Hotel guests can also enjoy the onsen at their sister hotel up the hill... From my onsen experience so far, for the same price, there are many better options in Japan... More

Booked through a third party site and was given a traditional Japanese room instead. Sleeping with tatami was an experience, but gave me aches in the morning. Well, must be the way I slept. Toilet in the room is way too small. Bathing in the room is totally not relaxing. I would rather bath at the onsen below. The onsen... More

A rather dated hotel. We stayed at one of the older traditional tatami rooms and the bathroom had a terrible urine / stuffy smell. Failed changing to another room because it was fully booked. Friendly staff gave us a spray but didn't help much. Our booking included both a dinner and breakfast so it was good as we arrived around... More
