The hotel is a few minutes walk from the bus stop which was very convenient. The onsen (same gender only) was great. Dinner was lovely and so was breakfast although not our personal taste food wise. Rooms are minimalistic and futon sleeping wasn't the most comfortable. Overall a very nice experience.

First time visiting Shirakawa-go. A small town but very unique in the way the houses were built. This accommodation, very clean and nice. Food provided were breakfast and dinner and taste good. Will plan to visit again in a different season.

This is a hot spring hotel . All staff are polite and nice. We can have Japanese breakfast and dinner here. Beautiful views ,houses and shops everywhere especially we looked down from a small highland . We stayed just one night in August. I think it should be very beautiful in winter with snow.

Nice large tatami room, beautiful old building and relatively clean, but hard to recommend because the food is meh, front desk staff isn't friendly, porch cigarette smoking leaks back into main lobby of hotel through screens and each room doesn't have its own toilet for middle of the night use. I don't regret staying here, but would I go again?...

We wanted to book the authentic stay in one of the thatched roofs UNESCO dwelling to experience authentic village like of pre-industrialized Japan. But every room in the village had been book except for No Yu hotel. In the end, we figured, we got lucky for having a ryokan type of rooms with Onsen at the periphery of the village....

We were staying in a gassho tsukuri house, but went here to bathe. The lockers actually lock, so I felt safe. The provided shampoo and body soap were Ba-yu brand, so I was happy. I felt like the baths were both quite hot. The outdoor bath is over the rushing river, so the sound and the smell are nice. We...

Great family hotel. Wonderful dinner and breakfast included. Male & female onsens; outside & in. River view. Community bathrooms & showers. No elevator, with rooms on second floor. Located in World Heritage Alpine Village. Can NOT recommend enough! Don't miss scenic viewpoint overlooking the valley!

It was said that this hotel was the only one in the area with an onsen and the only one that you could book online. Most of the other are local guest house operated by local older people who usually take reservation by phone or fax only. If you are like me who don't know much about the Japanese language,...

It is at the edge of the village. The hardware of the hotel is on average. We lived in the Japanese style special room so we have our own toilet and bathroom. The room is not big and is more or less similar to those onsen hotel that I lived in japan in the past. However, the staff are not...
