We stayed here two nights and like the previous reviewer arrived to a winter wonderland because of large unseasonably early snowfalls that continued during our visit. The drive up the mountain was a bit nerve-wracking as it was late afternoon and about -4º so the last 20km up the mountain were over an unbroken ice surface and while I have...

This hotel is located literally next to Asahidake ropeway. We were supposed to view the autumn foliage and go for a nice hike at Mt Asahidake in autumn weather but as it turned out, the place had transformed into a winter wonderland when we arrived in the evening. We had a spacious, clean Japanese style room that fits all 5...

Service was bad and staffs cannot speak any English. Exchanged hand gestures till tired. No amenities around hotel area. The only advantage staying there is near to the Cable car (ropeway) to Daisetsuzan. But if you are driving, no need to stay so near. Suggest stay at Asahikawa for more food and shopping options. Thanks to a Chan Brothers tour...

This hotel is located in simply stunning countryside. My son and I stayed for one night during a motorbike tour of Hokkaido. We had a split level room (the only complaint being that the bed area in the loft wasn't air conditioned) which gave us lots of room. The staff were very friendly and the food was nice. Ample space...

Very enjoyable experience at Hotel Bearmonte. It's very conveniently located to the ropeway and the food was quite good. Plenty of options for both breakfast and dinner. The hotel is getting quite tired and could use a refresh like many Japanese hotels, but the rooms were overall quite clean. We were in a Japanese style room and it had plenty...

Hotel is very close by the cable car and offers everything what is necessary. Good rooms and excellent breakfast and dinner buffet offers. We had everything what was necessary to feel comfortable and welcome.

One of the worst experience I had in Japan, we only stayed there for 1 night, luckily! The hotel overall was not bad, the room had wooden floor and decent size, the hotel is quite old but that was not the problem, it was the hotel service that make me give a 1 star review, doesn't even worth the 1...

The last stop on the bus from asahikawa, stay at this lodge if you want close access to the ropeway and love an onsen. The buffet meals were sufficient with both japanese and western options. They refused any request to cook breakfast omelettes on request, even though there were a number of chefs still cooking in the kitchen.

Bearmonte is the closest hotel to the Mt Asahidake ropeway to the top of the mountain. For skiers and snowboarders this is good because the walk up the hill to the ropeway could be in seriously cold weather. Another positive is that the bus from Asahikawa train station to Asahidake will drop off at Bearmonte as the last stop, also...

Room was generally clean but we did find long strands of hairs on the tatami from the previous guests. We got a smoking room but thankfully there was no lingering tobacco smell in the room. Onsen was ok, not spectacular compared to what we have seen in Noboribetsu. Buffet Breakfast and Dinner spread was vast, some items were not replenished...
