I put Hakuba on my 10 day trip to Japan to experience the powder snow. Finding good and well-located accommodation proved a bit of challenge til I found some great reviews on this pension. I booked a room for two nights and after a brilliant trip by rail to Hakuba I was picked up by the hotel owner at the...

This was my second stay at Eternal Flame and this place keeps getting better. It's located in Echoland near heaps of different restaurants and the bus to the ski fields is a very short walk down the road. Nao and Kimi are the best hosts you could hope for. Nao will give plenty of recommendations for different restaurants but the...

We recently stayed at Eternal Flame and can't recommend it highly enough. It was our first trip to Japan and thanks to Nao & Kimi we have great memories. They helped us with ski rental, lift tickets and the bus to the mountain was just out the front. They provided a great breakfast in the morning and an amazing dinner...

This is honestly the best accommodation experience I have ever had. Nao & Kimi's legendary kindness, hospitality and assistance is well-deserved. We were a party of 9, ranging from 4 years to 80 years old, and for each of us everything was all we could wish for and catered to. The place is gorgeous, the rooms are well appointed and...

My partner and I stayed at Eternal Flame for our first time in Hakuba. Kimi and Nao provide the best hospitality you could ask for, they truly made the stay so comfortable and we were so blown away by their kindliness. Firstly they would pick you directly from the station and also take you back when you leave. The lodge...

This was our first trip to Japan. Before we went I had read all about how hospitable Japanese people are, but I was still blown away by the service at Eternal Flame. The hosts are amazing at their job and create a wonderful atmosphere. You feel comfortable, like you're at home, but far more elegant and luxurious! We visited as...

After hearing my partner sing praises of Nao and Kimi's hospitality at Eternal Flame over his last three stays, I had to see it for myself (this was my partner's 4th stay at Eternal Flame). The rooms are simple but comfortable, with a very good common room and WiFi, and the breakfasts every morning were delicious and filling! Nao and...

This very comfortable and amazing value pensione is well located near Ecoland near a good choice of restaurants and bars. For Japan the rooms are a reasonable size and although basic are quite comfortable either with ensuite or shared facilities. The common areas are nicely appointed, very relaxing and cosy, with free tea, coffee and internet available. Our hosts Kimmy...

We had the pleasure of staying at Eternal Flame when skiing at Hakuba in January 2013. This was our second ski holiday in Hakuba, first time at the Eternal Flame and what a hidden gem. Hosts Kimi and Nao both went the extra mile to ensure our stay was special. Kimi is an excellent chef not only did we have...
