Like Hakuba, the hotel didn t receive an update after the Olympics, but was still nice to stay in. The Japanese room was big enough to cater 4 people, the onsen was basic but enough, food was good and the staff/owners very friendly. Note that it is not a very lively place and not well located for skiing, you need...

we arrived and was dropped off at the hakuba tourist info center where the hotel owner came by to pick us up (it was just a 3mins ride but we had alot of suitcases and snow was all over) hotel seems to be run by a family but they are clearly very very busy buzzling around from being reception to...

We had an awesome time at this hotel on Hakuba. The location is really central to get to the mountains (Hakuba 47 bus is right outside and happo is a 5 minute walk). Hakuba is full of great food and Restauraunts that are all close by to the hotel. The owner works so hard and we really appreciated all he...

Value for a Japanese room. The onsen is great in the basement. The owners are wonderful. The breakfast is a great value. Great ski town hotel feel. The free pickups and help was helpful as well. I will be back for sure.

Good hotel to stay at very friendly staff that will do anything to help, very close to everything and has a bus stop for Hakuba 47 literally right out the front. Traditional style hotel that is warm and inviting I would recommend if you're coming to Hakuba to snowboard

Not easy to find, but that is the only flaw. Once you know the location it is actually very central and well positioned, walking distance to the ski slopes or the village centre. The hotel is Japanese style (futons, taking shoes off at the reception area etc.), exceptionally clean with its own public spa at the basement. If you can...

My stay was excellent. I was traveling with my girlfriend and we stayed in a western style room with a magnificent mountain view. The owner of the hotel was very welcoming and happy to assist us with questions about ski rental, eating venues, etc. I would definitely use this hotel again.

We've enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Hotel Ougiya for it's convenient location, very good Japanese & Western-style breakfast, the nice Onsen, friendly stuff (with sufficient EN knowledge) and quite nice, big rooms and good futons. Notice, that the hotel is in walking distance to the mountain, but it's a 10 min. walk. But, there is a free bus...

So surprised by a hotel without guests in the middle of the season, likely that Japanese guests are only visible over the weekend. Hakuba gave a much sleepier impression than we expected. Our first booking was a Japanese room in the side building, for a modest additional cost, we got rooms in the main building with a view towards the...

This hotel was not too bad. The owner and his wife were very accommodating and picked us up from the bus terminal and drove us ther when we left. We spent 8 nights here and it is close enough to all amenities including the Happo One ski fields. It is a quaint hotel. We stayed in a western style room...
