Tough times define character, and a snow resort and its sidebar industries are tested supremely when rain and not accumulation is part of daily weather updates: for the Meteor properties there seems neither surprise nor anguish that cancellations have ensued, but rather a focus on trying to ensure patrons on site have a decent takeaway, despite the challenging slope conditions....

Travelled with our family of 2 adults and 2 children. The villas are simply gorgeous and in an excellent location! 2 story log cabins fully self contained and very well thought out. Heated floors, kitchenette, living area, TV (which was never used as there was too much to do!). All the heating is adjustable and of course heat rises so...

We stayed here in Feb as 4 adults and 2 kids. The villas are well located just a short stroll from Echoland Main Street and the fabulous Cherry Pub. We stayed in Villa C and the internet is very patchy unless you go up to the loft bedroom. Beds are v comfy but at night heat in loft is too...

Five of us spent 5 nights in a Brownie Villa, the cottage & facilities were amazing!! The staff were very friendly & accommodating! Tetsu the owner went above and beyond to help us out and show us around!! Ten thumbs up! If I visit Hakuba again I will definitely stay here!!

A group of six of us stayed for a week in a two bedroom cottage. There is a loft space too, but it does get a bit too hot up there for a comfortable sleep. The cottage was well set up with a microwave, washing machine and fridge, but only had a two seater couch. It'd be great if they...

6 of us stayed comfortably in the Brownie Cottages whilst skiing in Hakuba. Although quite tightly squeezed in, the cottages were comfortable and facilities included washing machine, wifi etc. The main communal area is a bit cramped when all of you want to use it at the same time. Would not recommend for any more than 6 people. Very useful...

We have stayed 2 time now with Tetsu-san and both times have been fantastic, we will be booking again for 2013 ski seasion. The log cabins are great, location is good and the service is friendly and accommodating. All the staff are very pleasant and helpful, although language can be a barrier at times but not restrictive. The location is...

If you ever dreamed of taking your kids to stay in a cabin in the snow, where you can walk to many restaurants in minutes and the shuttles to all the ski resorts are on your doorstep, this is the place for you. This is our second time back, the cabins are warm, clean, comfortable and cosy. The owners and...

We stayed here for a week in February, 2011, in one of the Brownie Cottages that are next door to the Meteor Hotel. It is a beautiful cottage, the bedrooms have tatami matting to keep you warm and gives character. The cottage was clean, appealing and spacious (as Japanese accommodation goes), and our family of four had plenty of room....
