Proximity to ski fields and slopes, bus station, small restaurants and corner shops is fantastic. Very homely and well organised hotel was exceptional value for money. Could it have been more modern, sure. But it was a very comfortable stay. The rooms were very large with two singles and two fold out double sofa's. Bathrooms were also a great size.... More

The rooms have a bit more space than most rooms in Hakuba . This hotel is old fashioned decor and not suitable for someone who likes modern and new decor, if location is what your after , then it is 300 metres from the nearest chairlift of Nakiyama in happo one. The breakfast is basic and served for only one... More

First impression was a bit of a shock but it turned out to be a good holiday spot. Hotel in perfect location with a 2min walk to chair and Onsen is good. Restaurant terrible with mainly western meals but that is fine as amazing restaurants 5 min walk. Beds ok and rooms rather large for japanese standards but dated (pink... More

I read many reviews prior to staying but disagree with many. This place is not in a great location. If you are a beginner on the snow this not the place for you. The beginner slopes are literally at the other end of the area and is in no way walking distance and the free shuttles are not close and... More

We stayed here for a week and enjoyed our time here. Room and beds were fine and serviced every 2nd day. It is pretty close to the slopes and has good facilities for ski storage and lockers for your boots. The room with the lockers gets warm, but sometimes not enough to dry the boot inners. But the heating in... More

Upon entering Rosenheim I was greeted with such enthusiasm, this was lovely considering I had been travelling for over 24 hours. Check in was easy and I was given many brochures to look at about Hakuba. I was shown to my room which was a small single room. It was very basic and needs a bit of a make over.... More

We've stayed in quite a few hotels in Japan, including ski resort accommodation and this place is definitely the worst. It's very close to the Nakiyama lifts (5 min walk), about 15 mins to the Gondola and a 5-10 min walk into town and Echoland but that's about it. Our room was very outdated and the beds were terrible. The... More

We have stayed in many hotels and resorts in Japan over 10 years here. You won't find anything great without paying for it dearly. This is a great deal for the cost. The outdoor onsen is fantastic although it gets almost unbearably hot! The apres ski activities at the hotel bring people together and expose folks to some Japanese traditions... More

I just read through many reviews for hotel Rosenheim and just second what has been written. We were also rushed with our breakfast as we used to take it quite late and it was cleared on the minute at the end of the hour. But juggling all the pros & neg, the location makes it worth to stay. Walking distance... More
