Very friendly hotel in Nozawa Onsen, located within easy walking distance of the slopes. Stayed here for three nights in March and it was excellent, great snow, great service and a great experience. Ko and her team at the hotel were very welcoming and helpful and the hotel itself is very well kept with enough facilities to make your stay...

This place offers a strong cultural experience with futons, onsens and traditional Japanese breakfasts and dinners in the beautiful Nozawaonsen But it also is ideally situated to the slopes-just pop on the moving walkway and store your skis at the rental joint The food is excellent - by all means eat in the little hideaway restaurants down those windy cobbled...

Japanese style Ryoken accommodation with combination of Japanese and Western style rooms. Ko and her staff are very friendly. This is a fairly large place so it can take allot of people. Is fairly close to main area of Nozawa Onsen as well as the Yu Road to get you to the base of the ski slopes. They have a...

I booked to stay here on the recommendation of a friend. It was our first trip to Japan and we had the most wonderful time. Ko, whose family has run the ryokan for many generations couldn't have been more helpful. In planning our trip I had to change my booking dates several times and it was never a problem. Ko...

Not knowing quite what to expect, our first time in a traditional Japanese hotel was a great experience, so good that we are hoping to return next year. Ko, our host was just wonderful, warm, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for her. Jack, from Australia, was so helpful in instructing us in the traditional customs of staying in...

The lounge areas were well stocked with games and puzzles, bringing guests together to make new friendships. We were apprehensive about staying in a traditional Japanese hotel but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and embraced the experience. Ko, the owner, was a wonderful, helpful host. The Onsen was something we looked forward to after skiing and the Japanese breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend a stay for both couples and families. Nozowa Onsen is an excellent place to bring...

We just spent 6 nights staying here. We highly recommend it. We had a traditional room with a Western toilet and wash basin. We had relaxing onsen after skiiing. It is really clean most days just my daughter & I were in it. Breakfast was 8am. I had Japanese breakfast everyday and it was different. There was a different type...

If you are looking for a very hospitable ryokan that's conveniently located, this is the ryokan to be. My wife, daughter and I stayed for 5 nights recently and were greatly impressed with the service. Ko-San, the owner was always helpful and she always greet with a broad smile. We chose to have dinner once in the hotel and were...

The Ryokan is a small 15 room family run outfit. Excellent service throughout our stay. The in-house onset was good and the best part of it all is the dinners, we had Shabu Shabu and just simple ramen the next night. Both nights were very good. Ryokan is clean and well kept, the small garden by the side was simply...
