We stayed over for a night so that we could just chill out & enjoy an evening of great food & lots of drinks in a genuinely comfortable atmosphere. The staff are really friendly, the food is 1st class & the room was just what we wanted... Spotlessly clean, warm, comfortable & charming with a character to match it's environment....

Delicious fish (Plaice) enrobed in light, crisp beer batter accompanied by Spring Greens, proper hand cut chips, and home made Tartare sauce with brown bread and Armagnac ice cream to follow. All for £15! Its almost unbelievable, I know, especially when half of that goes towards the cost of bringing high speed broadband to the village. We have never been...

Arriving late in rain I was warned in advance of Roadworks which completely cut the main way in, so was able to avoid that. However car park was full and I had to find a spot in the road. Room was entered through the rear of the hotel up some steep steps and past the kitchen door and up some...

This is a quaint hotel with a remarkable restaurant. Matt the owner and Chef has a wonderful selection of beers and wines to compliment the extraordinary menu. A stunning little find. If you are looking for quintessential English pub, then look no further.

We found the Hundred by accident, and felt it missed its potential. We had deviled kidneys which were fine, followed braised lamb which was just ok and a skirt steak which left much to be desired. They maybe tried too hard to be imaginative, but didn't quite hit it off. Coffee to finish, and a bill of £72. We will...

Rooms were large, well decorated, comfortable and clean. the location is down a quiet lane so no traffic noises - just the odd cow. The staff were so helpful and friendly and really went over and above to ensure our needs were met. I would definitely stay there again

The reason we stayed 1 night here, was to give us an early start for visiting the National Trust property Waddesdon Manor. I received a call from Camilla after I had made the booking to inform me of where I could collect the keys from if we arrived earlier than anticipated & asking wether we were thinking of eating there...

Delicious lunch - food was fantastic (crispy pork belly, roast partridge, cottage pie, sticky toffee pudding, rice pudding and fig tart), good beer, nice selection of wines, children well catered for (ham and cheese toastie, sausage and chips). Will be back.

Stayed here for 2 nights (B&B) whilst attending a wedding in the local area. The check-in was quick and painless with a very warm welcome by the staff. The accommodation is separate to but attached to the Inn. This is an old building and, therefore, the rooms reflect the age of the building. In addition, they are over the bar...
