We decided to stay at this accommodation after seeing all of the awesome scenic photos posted online, and it was the best decision ever made. Weather was especially lenient to us during our hike up from Murodo station, greeted by phenomenal views around the perimeter. The surroundings were simply breathtaking, definitely a treat to our eyes. We were received by...

The view from the front door of the hostel is incredible. We have stayed there for two nights. It was fun and memorable. The food is good if you like Japanese style food. Everything is good in this hostel. The staff are nice. Will definitely stay there again.

My wife booked us for 2 nights at this onsen. She thought it is a room for 2 persons but we were surprised when we checked in that we are staying in a room for 8 persons with double deck beds. We were impressed by the standard of the bedding and it was very comfortable and warm at night. The...

Staying at Mikurigaike Onsen Lodge is a convenient way to hike around the mountains in Murodo. It is located about a 10 minute walk from the bus terminal. We stayed for 2 days in July and enjoyed a relaxing time. The weather can be tricky. On the first day, it was so foggy and the cloud cover was so low...

We stayed in the inn from 3 to 5 May 2016. The pathway from Murodo station to the inn was still covered in thick snow. We took about 20 to 30 mins walk from Murodo station to the inn. When we arrived on the 3rd, the wind was very strong and it kind of blew us all the way to...

We loved the onsen with the mountain views. You need to have mobility to stay here - stairs, a walk to get here and futons. We thought the young staff were terrific and very accommodating, the food was delicious and the room was traditional, so basic but fine. Lots of toilets as the bathrooms are shared, showers and bath is...

Mikurigaike Onsen is one lodge that I would highly recommend. The staff was obviously kept very busy as we were there during the peak of the hiking season, yet they were never too busy to answer any of our queries. All of our needs were met during our stay there. We had a shared room and were amazed by how...

We stayed 2 excellent and ___ nights at mikurigaike onsen. The staff was incredibly kind which made the stay perfect. The onsen is very special and authentic. We arrived on the first day when the Tateyama-Kurobe route is opened and it was snow everywhere (April). It was a bit hard to find the place because of that but people around...
