My wife and I booked the room with the private ofuro on the balcony for two nights, we were also with other family but they had their own room, also with a private ofuro. The view is great. The sakura in was in bloom and we had an assortment of weather dressing the mountain side. The food. I've seen reviews...

We spent one night at Kakimotoya. The ryokan is tucked in a mountain side, and our room had a wonderful view of the mountains and trees. Staff was warm, accommodating, and very helpful even to a non-Japanese speaker. The onsen was clean, large, and had good bath products. It would be nice, though, if the ryokan provided more towels as...

The hotel was very traditional, if a little dated. We had a private bath on our balcony which really made it for us and the location was stunning and very peaceful. However, we were really disappointed with the food which was pretty bland and uninteresting. The hotel staff speak very little English but it was fairly easy to get by.
