下一次去黑川溫泉一定要再選擇御客屋! the trip to kurkawa was rain heavily. and due to the rain okyakuya was unable to open. however they still came to the bus stop to pick us up and explained the situation.( the bus was late for alomst 1 hour and can't be sure the time we would arrived, so they must run over and over from hotel... This hotel has great service. The staff are really friendly and we felt truely welcomed during our 2 night stay. They helped us book a firefly tour on our first night and we really enjoyed the tour. Dining was in the room. We got free drink tickets for dinner since we booked through their home page. It was wonderful to... More

We had tried several ryokan before. I can say that I nominate Okyakuya be the one of the best services. Building and atmosphere are good. The idea of green tea leaves as aroma is good idea. Never miss the limited iron based onsen and give you unforgettable experience.

Our room was located on the lower floor, with great view of the river. The kaiseki dinner was really delicious, with special dishes created by the chef who really cared about our culinary enjoyment. Warm service was provided by the very capable Shimada san, who excelled at explaining the origin of each dish. There is no elevator in the ryokan... More

I believe lots of travelers have recommended this hotel for its hotspring, cuisine and hospitality. I would like to let those who are interested know that: Even it's a hotel with 300 years history, they hire young staff and the staffs in this hotel speak English. They will introduce every cuisine in English and of course the operation hour/noteworthy details... More

The ofuro are very nice, including two private ones which you can lock. You really don't need to go "ofuro-hopping" to use other ryokans' ofuros. We opted for taking a 3 hour hike in the... More
