Stayed in a Japanese style room for one night. The room has a great view and I can watch the sunset from my room. Food was good and the service was great. The lady serving my table was very friendly and helpful. The concierge was also very helpful for arranging chopsticks making class and transport.

We chose the hotel as the base for our first visit to Yakushima, and we were quite satisfied with room and service. The room was spacious, and the breakfast buffet satisfactory. A - small - disadvantage is that for reaching public transportation one has to take a walk from the hotel.

The hotels/hostels are pretty full on the island and left with this hotel with vacancy when I did the booking. The interior of the hotel shows some kind of "history glamour", unexpectedly the room they gave us was huge! There's Japanese style living room and ta-ta-mi if u wish, while at the same there're beds (they called "western style"). The...

This is a an old but charming hotel very close to the Yakushima boat port (5 min walk). The rooms are spacious with great views out to the sea and towards the lovely Yakushima mountains. If only the swimmingpool outside would have been operating...! That would really have made our stay:) But it seems to have been out of order...

We stayed at the Seaside Hotel in Miyanoura (Yakushima Island) for 2 nights on a recent trip to Japan and would definitely recommend this hotel. If you're looking for a comfortable hotel with all the facilities (i.e. wifi, coin laundry, onsen, restaurant) this is a great choice. The hotel is very close to the port and a short walk from...

This hotel is way past it's prime. You can tell it was probably a nice spot back in the 70s, but has since lost its glamour. The old abandoned swimming pool at the entrance adds to the gloomy atmosphere. So does the stained carpets and walls and the huge, cold, ballroom in which dinners are served. Yes, it is conveniently...

This hotel was chosen because of its location and lack of hotels in general at Yakushima island. Easy walk from ferry and bus terminal to hotel, warm reception, easy check-in (it was not hot season yet). Hotel exterior are simple, interior also not impressing, so first impression was somewhat puzzled about such big price. We had booked twin european-style room,...

The hotel is a very well located if you are having 3-4 days in Yakushima island: it's 5mins walking from the myaonoura main port and close to the public bus stop (by which it is possible to turnaround the island). The hall is very old, the carpet which cover the floor is old, used and apparently dirty, as well as...
