very spacious and comfy bed. the view is stunning from the the top floor where we stayed. Price is very reasonable. Little extras here and there were much appreciated. However, the reception (mobiel and internet) is not all that good. But this is the case all along that part of the coast anyway. So be prepared to enjoy your surroundings...

Booked this online through their website. No credit card required, they rely on goodwill and trust.Excellent email communication from Laurel. We had two luxury units on first floor access gained by steps. Spotlessly clean accommodation, huge comfortable bed, sofa, dining table and well equipped kitchenette. Good shower. Stunning views across the estuary. We took advantage of the cafe below the...

The unit was spotless & the extra detail in the room was a nice touch! The only down side to this stay was unfortunately the weather. Thankfully the motel unit was comfy! The staff were friendly & helpful & the cost per stay was very reasonable. Great views also!

Top notch motel. If you are up this way for the fishing competition, make sure you can get in here.delightful owners and great views of Taranaki. The area is rich with Maori history , battles between warring tribes , women burying children to slow their paramour s down .The beaches are great, fishing is excellent and the local cafes make...

Quite inconspicuous motel by the main road. Interior surprisingly spacious and with vivid and tasteful decor. Very comfortable and reasonably priced.Pleasant views. Helpful landlords. Not much to do within walking distance.

Stayed a night on route from Hamilton to Taranaki. Lovely spot, relaxed and friendly place to stay. Owners were very helpful with local knowledge. Great surf, fishing and walks even in the winter. I stayed in the aqua unit (yes they are colour themed!) cozy and comfortable with everything you need and a great spa pool available too.

The Mokau Motel sits on a hill overlooking the main road to New Plymouth and further out from there, the river and the sea. The rooms are very comfortable with ranch sliders that give you a great view. Laurel was very efficient and friendly in our email exchanges before I got there. I stayed for 4 nights and by the...
