Aldo is a great host. He had a lot of knowledge about the area. He gave us the information of the whole "giro" of the region. The food is great and the villa beautiful in an amazing and quiet place in the mountains. Warmly Recommended for a trekking your of the Sicilian mountains

we were on a walking trip and had a night at Villa Raino. It is a few kilometers from Gangi so if you want to see Gangi make sure you have transport. The welcome was ordinary. The room was ordinary. The shower was terrible. It is like getting into a confined cupboard. you have to close a plastic levered door.... More

Oh we will love to go back if and when we can. We and our 3 grown up kids just loved this place. It is so beautiful. Arno the owner is so hospitable and nice. Their restarauntt is famous and locals come all the time. Well worth the drive through the middle of Sicily. This farm stay was highlighted as... More

Nestled deep in the Madonie mountains lies the town of Gangi. Recently awarded the accolade of "Borgo dei Borghi", a title reserved for Italy's most idyllic towns and villages, it appears perched on the side of a mountain as you take the winding road upwards from the Cefalu coastline into the true heartland of Sicily. As is often the case... More

Warm warm hospitality from the kindest and most welcoming host, with so many interesting stories and pictures from WW2, amazing food and big, comfortable rooms It felt like all we dreamed it would be like when we decided to visit Sicily! We were there alone but i'm sure our kids would have loved the place as well, they even have... More

This is a charming, slightly old world hotel. Very comfortable but what makes it exceptional is Aldo and his family who are great hosts and very friendly. The food is outstanding using wonderful fresh ingredients . Would stay here again anytime.

Agree with everyone that the hotel owner Aldo was a most pleasant man. However, he knew that 8 of us were arriving but the heating was not switched on. We were all freezing - cold floors, cold water only. There are no places to hang up used towels, mirrors were hazy, room was spacious but dark. There was good coffee... More

Quite basic, but clean enough. Very old-fashioned furniture and decor but quite quaint for that. Tiny, tiny shower - have no idea how anyone carrying even a little extra weight would get in it. Window in bathroom was not fully obscured, so felt that, particularly with the light on, I was on-show. We had a room with a balcony and... More
