We were staying in a cottage in the nearby village of Berrynarbor and this place was recommended by the owners. We visited twice, firstly just for drinks and then, on the following night, for a meal. Good ales. An interesting, pub grub menu. The braised brisket is to be recommended. Very attentive and friendly service.

My family visited the restaurant, booked for 5pm on a Saturday evening, as we didnt want to be late for the young children in our group. The starters were great, but after that, the food and service took a downturn. The restaurant wasnt particularly busy, but seemed disorganised and the staff were not very attentive. Such as shame as its...

Roast dinners are my favourite and I wasn't disappointed! I had a beef roast dinner and the beef was tremendous..pink thick and tender. The vegetables were lovely and extra gravy to boot. It has a lovely atmosphere and dogs welcome. Definitely recommend a trip there for their Sunday roast.

After walking on Exmoor we dropped in on our way home for dinner. This recently opened pub is well set up with a great wood burner a lovely dining area and helpful staff. The steak pie and pulled pork on sweet potatoe were both very good indeed.

We went there by chance of our 30th wedding anniversary and were not disappointed. The service from the minute we walked in was excellent, how nice to be able to hold an intelligent conversation with knowledge and attentive staff, they are a credit. The menus are varied and not overpriced, with an interesting "specials" board. Congratulations to the chef, kitchen...

Good place to visit, the food is of a good standard, it's child and dog friendly. Advise to book during summer season as it does get very busy. Setting very pretty, look out for the plant pot men and women.

I phoned to book a table for a carvery on Sunday. I was told that they don't do carvery since they have reopened but only do a plate roast. They automatically went to book me in and I had to interrupt them to say that if they didn't do a carvery I would rather go somewhere else. the response was...

We booked ourselves in for the 17th October for my son's 30th birthday meal. From start to finish it was fabulous! The food was delicious and as there was 15 of us getting the food out all at the same time was amazing. I fully recommend the spare ribs on the starter menu they were gorgeous. We had a varied...

We had a few days away in Coombe Martin and came across this restaurant. The setting was wonderful, by a small stream with a lovely outdoor area with lovely hanging baskets and flower borders surrounding the building. Inside, the building was contemporary but with a cosy homely feeling. A lovely fire in the centre of the room. The staff were...
