Stayed here for the first time, as the hotels we tried to book were all full. What a pleasant surprise. The phone call booking was efficiently handled, with a few welcome comments of sarcasm after asking if the room was en-suite, and the suggestion that me running down the corridor for the loo was a thing of the past. The...

We stayed here recently and had a really enjoyable time. The receptionist was friendly and helpful both when we made the booking and in person. Our room was lovely, it looked quite newly refurbished and had a fantastic sea view. The food was very good and we especially enjoyed the fish. We do have a few moans but only in...

Went to a wedding here Last week. When we arrived was really impressed. Great location. Views are to die for. Only problem being the tent is Down a really steep hill but to be expected in this area. The wedding was in the main hotel which was lovely but then we were abruptly told not to "cross the line" with...

We recently stayed at the Sandy Cove Hotel from 16th to 19th September. We chose the hotel because of the good reviews(and because our usual hotel had no vacancies). We booked by telephone and we spoke to Dawn who was welcoming, informative and really helpful. On her advice we selected a sea view superior room (35). The vista was stunning and...

I pretty much agree with Dogisland74's review word for word. Not really a dog friendly hotel. We have 2 collies so were banished to a small room that smelled of urine and was directly underneath staff accommodation - which was lovely when they got up for work at 6am and stamped around and had a bath etc... Very expensive for...

After reading some of the negative reviews we were actually considering cancelling our stay, we did speak to one of the managers to raise our concerns, they did assure us that everything would be ok,they did say that the standard rooms are not to the same standard as the superior but as we had booked a superior we felt more...

What a special location - for a significant birthday - that view is every bit as spectacular in real life! Great situation. Food was good value - very tasty! Lovely bubbles and cream tea on the verandah in the sunshine couldn't have been bettered. The room however was tired, dated decor but management assured us it was due an upgrade...

Stopped here for a bite to eat. We knew it would be more expensive than your average lunch spot, but it was worth it for the views. Just had a couple of sandwiches (£6.25 each) and drinks. Wasn't ridiculously expensive, as the quality was very good. Views fantastic!!!

Paid £180 per night inclusive of breakfast and evening meal. Really wanted a relaxing break and was looking forward to a nice jacuzzi, sauna and swimming pool, as depicted in the photos. However...the steam room was broken, the heated chairs didn't work, the whole area stunk of smelly feet, the pool was grotty and full of flies, the jacuzzi was...
