This is the most horrific hotel with the worst staff I have ever seen. When we checked in they were not able to give us the rooms we paid for. We were put up in a really shabby and run down room. The manager asked us to leave the hotel at almost midnight because we complained and were agitated by...

Have travelled the seven seas but never expected the worst experience of my life will be in good old Switzerland! The staff were unbelievably rude including the manager (who is the owner). We were not given the rooms we paid for. On top of that we were asked to leave the hotel when we were unhappy about the poor conditions...

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and efficient. We had to request two beds since I was traveling with my daughter and this ended us up in the very back corner of the hotel in an upper floor room. The hotel has a conference center in the middle of it that we had to go through to...

We have stayed at this hotel for many years and are never disappointed. Owner and staff are always friendly and helpful. Our room had a great view and as usual the food was very good. The hotel is at the centre of a quiet, picturesque village with a good bus service to other areas. The station is also only a...

Very nice area and nice small village close to Interlaken. We arrived late an evening and had the bad surprise to see that our Quadruple room (2 adults - 2 kids), which was fully booked - and paid in advance - was not available for us that night. The hotel was quite full with a lot of tourists from Asia...

We had a great stay at the Hotel Baeren. It is located in the heart of Winderswil, which is a great location away from interlaken. Interlaken is just minutes by bus or train and the winderswill train station is a nice 10 minute walk from the hotel-- its crazy how easy it is to get around town from this location--...

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. It is a 300 year old building and it creaks when you walk!! But it has a lot of character and is situated very conveniently to Interlaken. You're just a stone's throw from the bus stop that takes you in to Interlaken (the hotel gives you free bus and train passes) and...

Arrived by car, available free parking. Hotel is in quiet town right next to interlacken and lauterbrunnen ( gateway to the mountains) so it's perfect to reach either in minutes. Restaurant is excellent with full menu for dinners and free breakfast was excellent and large variety of choices. You can see the mountains from just outside the hotel. Beds were...

Hotel Bären is a simple hotel, 2 stars maximum, More like a hostel or inn than a hotel. The hotel however also has some good features. Let me start with the reasons why the maximum is 2 stars: There is no air-conditioning, no safe in the room, no fridge in the room. The pillows are very thin, the night guard...

In the area for an 8 day walking holiday, moving on between hotels every other day. Spent 1st and last night at Hotel Baeren. Reasonable position on a crossroads/small square in the quiet town. Outdoor terrace for drinks/dinner/breakfast. We arrived on a Friday and ate dinner outside - so had a good position for the folk singing which happens directly...
