Woodland park is a gorgeous and meticulously maintained campground in sauble beach. The park grounds are spotless and all the sites have double concrete pads and paved roads.

We would definitely come back, but I’m over 45 years of camping I’ve never stayed in a family campground where I had to
Pay for children under 18. Not that it was expensive, but with the pool closed for Covid, and not a great deal of in park amenities for kids, I think they could have waived the 2 dollars per day per child fee.

Also, the firewood was a good price, but horrible sandy wood that was wet and Smokey to burn.

Overall a great park with some knocks on simple things, but it is one of the cleanest well maintained parks I’ve stayed in Ontario.

This park is great! I have been going here since my parents had a seasonal trailer there when I was a child. As an adult, I was so excited to have a trailer there for my family.

I saw some reviews here stating that the management is terrible. From what I read, several of the reviewers are family part of the same group and I find it unfair that their group effort to leave reviews based on a single experience has dragged down the parks rating. YES, the park has many rules, and YES, the park is vigilent in enforcing the rules but it is because of this that makes it such a great, beautiful space. The staff can be stern but they are not unreasonable.

If you're looking for an awesome family campground that takes everyone's enjoyment into consideration and has amazing things in place to protect the kids, and doesn't allow partying all night long this is your place!

If you're looking to go up as a large adult group and take several sites together and have a giant "compound" then this is not the place for you. The owners don't want that environment and I'm glad they don't allow that.

The park has gorgeous paved roads and interlock sidewalks. Speed limits are strictly enforced. Kids are safe to olay6. There are two awesome parks for the kids and also an indoor pool. The indoor pool is great to take the kids on a rainy day. They also have horseshoes, basket ball nets, ping pong and pool.

Amenities are good - propane and firewood on site for sale. The camp store has many basic items you may run out of as well as some little candies for the kids.

During the summer there are usually activities for kids, and also adult bingo once per week.

I love the park. It's one ofy happy places!

The Woodland Campground is located just a couple blocks from Sauble Beach main Beach. It is very close to the downtown (short walking distance).

The site we had was conveniently close to both the washrooms/showers and the playground. It was also close to their indoor pool and hot tub.

Our site had 30 amp electricity, water, sewer connections, and even television coax connection providing many analog and digital channels.

On one side of our site we had a cedar hedge (behind the trailer), and on one side was a busy intersection with people, kids, dog walkers and cars and trucks frequently going past. The other two sides were open to trailers beside and behind us. There were mature trees and beautiful maintained gardens throughout the campground. Each site had maintained grass, a fire ring surrounded by a concrete safety border and a large cement pad for your trailer to sit on and for you to enjoy outside the trailer door.

Although this was the cleanest site we've ever been on, and this had the most conveniences we have experienced, this was not an ideal campground for us. The lack of privacy caused a real problem for our 2 Corgi/Blue Heeler puppies who wanted to bark at everyone and every dog. So, we spent our weekend inside the trailer with the blinds closed, and the air conditioner on to mask the outside noises. Provincial parks have significantly less conveniences, but they usually have privacy on the campsites.

We had our campsite booked from last year since we have been going there for a while. On June 8, I called the campground to see what we do about campsite during COVID. I was told I could wait and see how things panned out or I could defer my reservation till next year without penalty. On July 7 I called thinking we could keep our reservation but when contacting the office there is still restrictions on who you can have in your trailer despite our social bubble. My two sons have girlfriends which are not allowed. I still want them(sons and girlfriends) to come camping with us so I called back to defer my reservation till next year and was told now that is not a option anymore. I believe if there is still COVID restrictions in place, you should be able to defer without penalty but the owner was all about running her business and money instead of having compassion for her customers. We are all dealing with stress and money at this time and if you cant run a business with full amenities then you should give customers options......Woodlands Campground you have just lost my business, due to lack of customer service!!!!!

We have just purchased our trailer and decided on going to Woodland Park to make sure everything works in trailer. It’s just around the corner from where we live. I can’t say enough about this park. We checked in after filling out our COVID forms( which is the new norm now) . Front office staff was very pleasant and took all the precautions necessary! We absolutely loved our site(189) very quiet not many people in that area. Park is very big and sites are easy to get in and out of. Unfortunately all amenities were closed because of COVID but we truly enjoyed our stay. Thanks 🦩✌️

We had just purchased a new travel trailer...first trip to Woodland Park.
Two days to try it out and was not near long enough. I did not want to leave.
We can see ourselves settling down in a couple of years, and we will season at Woodland...can hardly wait to go back.
Park is clean, well maintained...
Friendly staff. Paved roads..no dust.
Great for us seniors to walk or bike.

This poor review has nothing to do with the park itself, it has to do with the ignorant co owner we dealt with. If you are planning on staying Don’t expect to be treated with respect. The co owner yelled at my husband and accused us of trying to bring people n the park without paying when this was absolutely no the case. I am not into ripping people off nor do I appreciate being accused of trying to do so.

This camp ground is kept in amazing condition. Paved roads, interlocking sidewalks, plenty of washroom/shower facilities. Lots are good sizes. However, when they say 11 pm quiet time, it's quite time. We stayed for 3 nights, and come 11pm there was no sound in the park other then our little Bluetooth speaker and we had it on volume 1. Don't get me wrong this is a great park if your going to go and totally relax with no distraction. I felt a little out of place, afraid to sneeze to loud and then get evicted. There is a large play ground with a volleyball court (sand) in the middle of the park great for the kids.

We are here now, on our last day, at this campground, packing up quickly as the check out time is 10am. Celebrating the last long weekend....the last hurrah of 2018 summer season.

THE GOOD:
-check-in was organized and quick with the 2 young employees greeting us with a smile
- the entire camp ground resort is so clean and well groomed...lots of love and tender care is given to this very peaceful resort.
-we are on RV site #430, full hook up with CABLE (but we didn't use it as we have a satellite dish).
-site has a huge cement pad that can fit an even bigger RV than ours (we have a 27ft with one slide out).
-the site has a huge grass area that can fit 3 big tents and a 1 dining tent on top of our RV (but this is a no-no and tenters must stay at the tent sites).
-resort is walking distance to the beach, restaurants and stores. We drove to Greig's Caves (30mins away) and totally worth the drive seeing beautiful caves (cash only @ $10/adult, no pets allowed, no flip flops unless you want to slip and break a bone).
-resort has a well kept heated pool with a jacuzzi (for adults).
-laundry facilities.
-2 playgrounds for your young kiddies (our 2 kids are 16 and 19 years old so they didn't use).
-public restrooms with showers very clean.
-very quiet resort with an 11pm quiet time strictly enforced.
-great security.

THE NEXT TIMES:
There really is no "next times" for this resort review but if I can add...
-the water has a very funky smell, so we didn't use it to brush our teeth or drink from it. But I am assuming this is a natural smell from their septic/well system and it is safe to use.
-I am assuming the older woman at the check-in is the owner, and although I smiled at her, she didn't smile back or say a word. I am a palliative nurse, and I smile a lot, and my patients really appreciate this comforting gestures, even during their dying moments. A smile really goes a long way, and it's for FREE to give.

Overall, our experience at Woodland Park was very positive. We will surely come back again, and hopefully be able to reserve site #430 so we can be near our new friends Bob and Kathy (they are seasonal owners). Our son turned 19 years old September 1st, so it was fun celebrating his milestone and ending the 2018 summer season with new and lasting memories at a wonderful RV/camping resort!

Thank you Woodland Park for your hospitality! Homeward bound to Brooklin, Ontario!

So this concludes our week long glamping at Woodland Park, Sauble Beach, celebrating my husbands 50th golden birthday.

We have been transients the last 5 years at this beautiful resort. If you want a 5-star RV resort, visit Woodland Park.

THE GOOD:
- huge resort with paved roads, manicured gardens, and lush greenery. Super clean resort!

- customer service is 5 star.

- each RV site is a full hookup with a massive concrete pad for your RV and camp fire ring (we were on site 858).

- Wifi is included with your fees, but only at certain areas of the resort. We did not use resorts wifi because we have unlimited cell data.

- cable is also included with your fees, and there are approximately 70-80 channels to watch.

- an indoor pool with hot tub. Unfortunately, pool and hot tub were not open due to covid.

- playground for your kids

- walking distance to the main strip of Sauble Beach where you can enjoy the white sand beach, arcade, zip line, restaurants and shops. This area is very busy, even on off days. It is a party central kinda beach strip, and nice to watch the young people with smiles on their faces, enjoying their youth. There are paid parking but it will cost you $24-40/day. We bike ride everywhere!

- there is a small tent area, engulfed with huge trees for privacy.

- public washrooms/bathrooms are open. We never used them because we have a fully functioning self contained RV.

- there is a laundry mat on site.

- there is a small resort store but only selling propane and wood due to covid. There is a Valu Mart grocery store, LCBO, The Beer Store, and Home Hardware on the main strip approx 10-15 mins walking distance or a less than a 5 mins drive. We buy wood from a house 10 mins drive away for $10, and the bag is huge!

- dog friendly, but owners must abide by the pet rules at all times.

THE NEXT TIMES:
Honestly, for us, there are no next times. Everything is perfect for us each time we camp here. The rules are many, and are very much enforced, but we do not mind this. This is why their resort is a 5-star with immaculate grounds. The transients and seasonal campers are mixed ages, with adults over 50 with grown adult children, and young families with small children.

Heading home to Whitby now, and we cannot wait to visit Woodland Park again next year.

Stay safe!
