Everything about our stay was perfect. Proprietor David Kerr was wonderful and made us feel so welcome. The grounds are beautiful, house and rooms are tastefully and beautifully decorated, B&B is clean and breakfast is fantastic! Will definitely stay here again!

We arrived to a warm welcome and a beautiful house set in a tranquil setting. Everything was perfection even down to fresh milk delivered outside our door early each morning. The breakfast was to die for, try the omelette, outstanding. If you like walking the house is ideally situated even with two pubs within an easy ten minute walk through...

We stayed one night at Poplars Farmhouse and were very impressed with the standard of the rooms - which are large and airy and have a lovely outlook. There is a cosy dining room and a large and very comfortable sitting room for the use of guests. Breakfast was especially generous and most impressive - including fresh fruit salad, yoghurt...

We came to the Poplar Farmhouse after a long day of walking in the Dedham Vale area, and were thrilled when we first saw the place. We were greeted warmly, shown to our immaculately clean and modern room in a thoroughly charming old farmhouse. The excellent shower (fabulous water pressure, instant hot water), the first-rate toiletries provided, the range of...

We have travelled extensively, using B&B's worldwide and were pleasantly surprised with our welcome, lovely rooms and food at Poplars. Well behaved dogs are welcomed but, rightly, David, asks that paws are wiped to keep their lovely home in tiptop condition. Paul's breakfast is fresh, varied and beautifully tasty. Good choice and, I'm told, the veggie options are good too(not...

Think this has been our 5th visit to poplars and its always a delight to stay here. The owners have a wonderful business and area is truly beautiful. If your looking for solitude in a traditional chocolate box country residence then I cannot recommend it enough. The 4 rooms are completely individual with lovely views over the countryside. One of...

We had an amazing stay with Dave and Paul. Staying at poplars farmhouse is like staying with family. Starting with tea and cake on arrival to a massive breakfast in the morning and help on planning our days there. The location is amazing and secluded yet close by the next village to go out for food and drinks. I would...

We visited Poplars Farmhouse for just one night but would have loved to stay longer. Thank you David and Paul for a warm welcome, warm fire, convivial atmosphere and simply perfect home for a night. We stayed in the Gardenia room which was lovely, has a wonderfully comfortable bed, and like everyone else in their reviews enjoyed a superb breakfast...

We stayed here in between Christmas and new year and it was just the perfect way to unwind. A beautifully welcoming home decorated to a very high standard, a roaring fire, glorious Christmas tree and an offer of tea and cake in the guest lounge when we arrived. I love the fact that breakfast is communial, we met two very...

We have recently returned from an autumnal weekend stay at The Poplars and from the moment we stepped into the door we were welcomed and made to feel at home but better than that because we didn’t have to do anything. Our room - the panelled room - was individually designed, spacious and warm, with comfortable beds and pillows and...
