We stayed in the junior suite, and the room was quite spacious. The downside was that we wanted to keep our balcony door open after the rain, but there was a drainage problem and water kept dripping into the room.
We had breakfast included and it was okay - nothing spectacular.
We were quite disappointed at the looks of the pool. You could see algae growing on the bottom, so we decided just to skip all the activities involving the spa. To note, we selected this hotel especially because it had a spa.
The second reason we selected the hotel, because it offered free parking, without reservation needed. While we had to park on a non-park spot, which belonged to the hotel, we were uncomfortable leaving the car there. Our car is on the longer side and half a meter of the car was on the sidewalk. The hotel staff promised they would move the car to an actual parking spot, but this never happened. I had to ask for the keys and move the car after a couple of hours.
Staff were nice and spoke very good English.

Booked partial Lake view room, but given room with large balcony & wonderful view of lake.
Had requested twin beds, and although it was two mattresses, they were pushed together with one fitted sheet. We did have two duvets. Mattresses a little soft for me, and only 1 pillow per person provided, but I'm sure would have provided more if asked. Room a decent size, but shower & loo are within room. Flooring could be a little slippy when wet. There is a small fridge, but no tea & coffee making facilities. Reception quickly provided a kettle, when requested, and there is a small supermarket about 5 mins walk to purchase milk etc.
Robes & slippers are provided. Lots of hanging space & hangers, although nowhere long enough for dresses. Balcony comes with egg chair & table & chairs & is perfect spot for a cuppa or pre dinner drink.
All of grounds are pretty, especially at night, with plenty of seating. The spa facilities were excellent, with towels provided & fruit teas, water & soup to keep hydrated.
The restaurant is slightly old fashioned, in decor, but clean & well staffed. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice. A bit of a queue at peak times for coffee machine.
We only ate in hotel on one evening, we found the menu fairly limited, and like the rest of Switzerland, quite expensive.
All of the staff spoke good English & a special mention to the 3 female receptionists, who couldn't have been more helpful & fun. We certainly took their valuable advice when booking our trip up & down Pilatus.
All in all a great hotel in a fabulous location.

We arrived on a Friday evening and stayed until Sunday.

From the booking ( via Email ) until the last minute it was a great stay. Very friendly and clear communication.

The room was very spacious with a huuuuge terrace ( Lake view!! ). Very clean and comfy bed.

Saturday we started with a great breakfast with lots of choices. After a short trip to Lucerne we came back for Wellness which was great! We were almost alone and could relax. They have a whirlpool, a swimming pool, another bubbly bath, and 2 saunas. As it was winter, the outdoor baths were closed.

In the afternoon we also received a light snack ( they forgot it to bring at our desired time ( we were starving! ) - but after a phone call we got it ) it was a really nice sandwich and a great mixed salad!

In the evening we had a Fondue Chinoise dinner which was super tasty! Lots of meats, pickles, side dishes etc.

As for Corona - they have a great security plan in place, also at breakfast / dinner / wellness area - so we felt safe!

Great weekend stay and we came home super relaxed!

I booked a room on an advertised deal and a month later they threatened me in booking.com app chat that the price for the room increased and I have to pay a higher price. I thought it's a scam, a way to get people pay more. 3 weeks after that message (and 5 days before the stay with flights booked, everything arranged) they actually cancelled my booking. Booking.com customer service apologised but says they cannot do anything. I'm taking legal action.

We stayed here on a railtrail tour of the area. I had a single room which was a good size on a corner with 2 balconies so views of the mountains and the lake. Staff were friendly and food good and plentiful. We were out most of the day but made use of the spa facilities in the evening. There was also a gym if you wanted it and a small ice rink next to the lake where people skated and also did curling.
As a group we ate in a different room to other guests and probably had a different menu but it was an enjoyable stay. Train station was about 5 minutes walk away. The travel pass offered by the hotel is a great way to see the area. Would recommend.

We stayed seven nights at the Seehotel Pilatus as part of a Railtrail group holiday based in Hergiswil, a short train ride from Luzern on the frequent Zentralbahn trains. The group had its own evening meal menu, which was more than adequate; breakfast was just the same as other guests had.
In general, we very much enjoyed our stay. Our room had a lovely lake view through the large picture windows of an annex to the room, was comfortably appointed and spotlessly clean. The only reasons for criticism are the fact that the room got uncomfortably stuffy and there was no means to ventilate it; the only window that could be opened was the large patio door giving on to the Juliet balcony; not really an option in winter. It would also have been very useful to have had a suitcase stand, which are standard in most hotels; we had to unpack and repack our suitcases on the floor.
Breakfast was self-service and excellent, with a variety of cereals, breads, meats, cheese and a limited cooked breakfast selection. Tea and coffee could be obtained from a machine.
We didn’t make use of the swimming pool or gym facilities, but they looked excellent.

We stayed at the hotel from 8th to 15th February 2020. The hotel is a lovely building in a beautiful setting and the bedrooms are great. However, for a 4* hotel the meals were very ordinary with little choice. They were served in canteen fashion, being wheeled into the restaurant in heat retaining boxes. That was a big disappointment and lets the experience down badly. We certainly would not stay there again or recommend it.

I cannot rate this small family hotel highly enough. The room was exceptional with great views and an exclosed balcony/sunroom. We were on a coach trip and the staff did everything possible to make us welcome. Although there was a fixed menu for the coach trip passengers the hotel was very flexible and willing to meet individual needs. The quality of the food and its preparation was top class. The desserts were generous and to die for.

Absolutely fantastic hotel on the shore of Lake lucerne. Stayed for 8 days with a coach party. The owner and his staff can't do enough for you. Food and accommodation top notch , swim in the large indoor pool with Jacuzzis and saunas and a fitness suite or just swim in the lake itself. Entertainment was excellent and the under ground night club

What a wonderful weekend we had at the Seehotel. We travelled with our adult daughter so bkd 2 rooms. We had a lake view room with 2 beds pushed together. Our daughter had a single room across the hall. Both very nice & were provided with everything needed & /or asked for. We asked for extra pillows as the ones on offer are very thin. A kettle was quickly organised & wine glasses & cups for tea. The view was spectacular. What a treat to wake up to the lake view every morning. Divine! The facilities were great. Breakfast was adequate. If you came down a bit late though, it looked depleted. Staff on the whole were helpful altho’ a few things got lost in translation. But it all worked out.
My only gripe was the layout of the bedrooms with the toilet & shower only walled off by glass doors & not all the way to the ceiling. Really weird design!!
All in all though, fantastic place to enjoy all that the area has to offer.
