Set on a hill overlooking Lake Constance, this 4-star hotel in Güttingen is just a 10-minute walk from the lakeshore. Renovated in 2014, it features a restaurant, a sun terrace, and free private parking. Classic Swiss cuisine and international dishes can be enjoyed at the Seemöwe's à la carte restaurant. There is also a country-style bistro bar, a large lakeside terrace, and a glass pavilion overlooking the lake. The rooms have a seating area, flat-screen TV, large desk, minibar, and a bathroom with hairdryer. Most have a view of the lake. The garden features a children's playground. Guests can rent electric bicycles to explore the surroundings and use the nearby Bodensee Bicycle Trail. The underground car park at Hotel Restaurant Seemöwe can be used at an additional cost. Kreuzlingen and Romanshorn are a 13-minute drive away.

Stayed one night as part of an excellent 6N bike tour around Lake Constance. Comfortable hotel, with very friendly staff, who all spoke excellent English. We had dinner at the Restaurant. We enjoyed our meals. I particulalry liked the use of local ingredients- vege, sausage, wines and beers. We were a bit dissappointed by the 11 CHF charge for a bottle of water with the meal, but overall the price was fair. Breakfast is very nice, good selection and eggs cooked on request. Again loved all the local produce, particulary the apple juice- this is apple country!! I would stay again.

We stayed at this hotel during a long weekend in June 2014. We were four - myself, my wife, and our two kids (4 and 2). The hotel is easy to find, has a nice parking and the personnel is kind and welcoming. Our room was large and comfortable, with a large double bed, a comfortable sofa-bed, and enough space to put a travelling baby-bed, and still have room for the kids to run about. The bathroom is ample and well-equipped, with a hair drier and more than enough towels for everybody. All the equipment looks recent, and the room and hotel in general is very clean. The restaurant downstairs has a nice buffet (salty and sweet) with a Jura coffee machine making a decent espresso and cappuccino. The restaurant has a beautiful terrace overlooking the fields and the lake in the distance, that is perfect in good weather, as it was the case during our stay. There is a nice small garden behind the hotel with a playground for kids. The personnel is fluent in English, most of them speak French as well. Everyone was kind to the kids, and didn't mind them scrambling about during breakfast in the morning. Free apples are provided everywhere in the hotel, including in your room, and you can rent a small electric vehicle that looks quite fun to drive (we didn't rent it however, as it only has two seats). There's a mini fridge in the rooms with complimentary water, that also comes in handy if, like us, you have to keep a bottle of milk for the baby. So, to sum up: nice facilities, friendly staff, family-friendly, large rooms. A bit pricey, but in line with Swiss pricing standards. Would stay again.

Second time in this hotel. This time got a room at the front of the hotel. I asked the reception for a room at he backside but the hotel was completely booked. The room was nice, clean and spacious but.......the traffic noice was very present on top of that the smokers "lounge" was undernead my room resulting in chatter and smoke ... On top of that has the hotel a sliding entrance door, every time the door opens/closes it was very present in the room resulting in a very restless night. So take a room at the back as high as possible (lake view)!

After driving six hours across Switzerland resp. flying in on a two hour delayed flight we arrived at the Hotel Seemöwe. To be very honest it was almost a desperate pick as not a lot of hotels were available but it proved wonderful. A lot of parking lots right at the hotel, a warm welcome in a modern and clean hotel. A spacious room with a wonderful bed and a lovely bathroom. Lots of hot water and a height adjustable head! WLAN worked perfectly and the service was always very attentive. After the dinner, I went straight to bed and slept soundly until the next morning. Which was topped with a very nice breakfast with fresh cheese, cold cuts, jams and marmelade, bread, eggs, plenty of tea and coffee, ... and everything nicely labeled and a service which again checked reguarly if we were missing something. If I need a hotel on the southern part of Lake Constance, I know where to stay!!!
PS.: the lake looks to be quite close but it is a good walk to get there!

Stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment, which was very clean, had contemporary and very new furnishings, with a well-equipped kitchen. From the apartment you had views of the open fields all around and Lake Constance in the distance (2km away). The breakfast spread was a good standard continental choice. Good one night stopover spot. Friendly staff.

This hotel was surprisingly modern and looks newish. We stayed one night again booked by our cycle tour company. The rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. The shower was really powerful and lots of hot water! We ate at the hotel restaurant and the food was really delicious and great standard. The staff were very friendly too. Breakfast was typical European style and sufficient.

We stayed at Seemowe for one night. The room was basic without decoration. It was quite stuffy in the room; we had to use a fan. The breakfast was fine, but the staff did not replenish foods as needed. An average stay.

Beautiful hotel and restaurant in great location overlooking lake Bodensee, staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly rooms we had were spacious and really clean lovely terrace at the back for food and drinks.The breakfast was great with a wide selection and the lady who served us was funny and really bubbly at seven in the morning showing us how to boil or fry a egg on the machines they use.A big thank you to all the staff for a enjoyable stay.

Good hotel, close to the Bodensee. If you book a room at the back of the hotel you have a (far) view of the lake. Besides the view the rooms are quiter. Nice room with min bar and T V (which did not work properly). Clean vathroom with necessities. Very friendly staff at the reception but also at the bar in the restaurant and at breakfast. Plenty of parking space around the hotel plus free and fast internet.

The hotel is very nice, clean, quite, nice personnel (they do not speak a very good English, tho).
The restaurant is the real surprise! I warmly suggest to have dinner here - you'll get amazed by the quality of the food and the accuracy of the presentation.

"If travelling in the summer I recommend asking for a room in the back of the hotel, as the road is rather near the front of the hotel and if you sleep with open windows the cars might wake you up. With windows closed it's not an issue however."
There are more places to choose from in the Güttingen area.
