I visited this hotel 3 years ago and decided to go back - not the best idea these days. The price was reasonable but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Here is an example of a hotel with good service but failing in other areas. We bid (and won) an upgrade to a suite which due to a heat wave would have made the balconies almost unusable. In the first room there was a couch, one small chair and a table. There was as you can see on the photo nothing else. There was only one overhead light but no reading or standing lamp. We asked for one and was told that they had none available. In addition for some strange reason there was only one glass and only three hangars. Although not a big deal, it was as if no one really cared. I spoke to one of the service people who told me that the hotel was only partly full and they had cut back on staff. Evidently this was a hotel in economy mode which is understandable to a fair degree. This being said breakfast was a disappointment. There were only a few plain salads nothing inspired at all. The rolls were not soft and the “juice” not juice. There were no fresh seasonable fruits no peaches, plums, melons etc. only some apples The web site advertised a business lounge but when we arrived we were informed that it was closed due to the corona virus. That is understandable, but they should have noted that on the site and to be frank there could have been some form of slight compensation whether a small bottle of wine of chocolate, or some fruit. Not that we needed it but it is just common sense and the ABC of good public relations. At night we decided to eat at the attached Tiramisu restaurant - do yourselves a favor - dont bother! We ended up buying food one night in a supermarket and going to another restaurant One last point the pool area was not all all clean. The lifeguard told us he complained several times but to no avail.…
bottom line, due to the lack of the hotel's ability to handle the guests (noise, lines, mess, distancing and covid-19 regulations) we were left with a sour experience. pros: relatively close to the beach (5 min walk) rooms are ok with basic expected amenities but with great sea view food was pretty good pool is big and well maintained. cons: hotel was crowded and packed lines for both dinner and breakfast with long waiting time (even with a reserved table), no covid-19 regulations were followed at the meals (distance, serving, amount of people etc. etc.), not enough staff, service was poor, and at breakfast our reserved table was just taken by a random guest and we needed to split our family to 2 tables after more than 10 min of additional waiting time...
It's not enough that many guests don't wear masks as required without any comment from the staff, some of the staff don't wear a mask (including the one who works at the entrance to the dining hall). The room wasn't clean and wasn't cleaned properly even after we complained. You need to wait a long time to get the reception to answer. I would never recommend this hotel and especially not in Coronavirus times. The food is terrible and it seems that the hotel don't care about their guests and the most important events that are happening (lots of people entering the hotel against Corona regulations without a fever test).
Location is ok: just outside the city, with relative proximity (10 min walk) to the beach. Room was fine: clean and all the advertised features available. Elevators were a pain: a total of 3 small elevators are just not enough and we spent a lot of time waiting. Food was not great: Long lines for coffee and eggs. The cappucino was among the worst I ever purchased. Cold drinks and yogurts were not replenished soon enough. Other than that the choice of salads, pastas, pastry and especially cheeses was very limited. Corona experience: thumbs down. First place to likely get corona is while waiting for elevators on the ground floor, there is very little space between the elevators that are facing each other. In the dining room half the hall was "not available" which practically meant even more people in high proximity to each other than usually. At the buffet only hotel employees were allowed to put food on the plates. It meant both long lines without social distancing as well as no control over your portion’s size. Overall neither clever nor pleasant or safe.…
A satruday in family (me and my wife + 2 children -19/15 years od). We took 2 rooms. The rooms were good. The qulaity of the food was not so good , I will say even poor.. not a lot of choice, lot of oil in the salads, desserts no tasty. Very disappointed. a lot of noise in the hotel, a lot of families with no real cleanliness and tidiness. Hotel personal ok
