We heard about Osman's from another traveler and were so glad we went with him and not one of the big resorts on the Kinabatangan. We were met at the jetty by Osman's son who took us to their home down the river (not accessible by land) and we stayed with their family in their home. They made us feel...

We stayed with Osman for 2 nights, it was a wonderful experience! It was nice being able to stay with a local family in the jungle. The prices were very good (only 70 rm per night, 3 meals were included per day)! There were lots of cute animals at their house (2 chickens and tons of cats). His family is...

Stayed with Osman and his family three days and two nights and loved it (70pppn inc 3 meals) So glad we came despite reading some of the reviews on here. It is a true homestay, a house on stilts. Kept spotless clean but you are in the jungle! So you will sometimes see ants, geckos, flys and of course his...

Osman was the best guide we have had on any of our travels. He has a keen eye and away with animals and knows the area very well. We didnt try other homestay in the area so its hard to compare but he is truly exceptional. That being said this home is basic but clean and the food is good....

Osman Homestay is great option for short stay on the kinabatangan river bank. It provides accomodation, meals and river cruises, all in great family atmosphere. Although the accomodation may seem a bit rough its actually giving sense of local way of living which we much appreciated. Key though are river cruises and there is nothing more than we could really...

We booked Osman's on a recommendation from friends who'd stayed. We had heard that his sense of humour can be warped at times and read some negative reviews about comments he'd made to previous guests and were apprehensive booking but realised this was our best shot to see the wildlife of the Kinabatangan area. Well - we were blown away....

Me and my boyfriend had the best time at Osmans homestay. Accommodation is basic but what do you expect from staying in the middle of the jungle. We personally loved it and I felt more in touch with nature. We had a twin room with a fan which was lovely and clean. Osmans wife cooks you 3 lovely meals a...

Definitely recommend staying at osmans. The man himself, the legend of Sukau lives up to the rumours, he is basically the Ace Ventura of the Malaysian jungle - such a monkey man! Also very funny guy, making us laugh lots but probably making himself laugh a little more. Family were all gorgeous and his wife is a stellar cook and...

Osman can spot an animal from miles and knows the forrest like his home. I read in a couple of comments that he makes hurful jokes (manely about the female guests). Ok, sure he jokes ALOT but it is all in well beeing and not to offend anybody. Its just who he is and he has alot of energy. But...

Me and my two Swedish friends stayed here for three nights. The rooms were simple and clean. The food was delicious home cooked Malaysian food, perfect opportunity to try new local dishes. Friendly owners. Osman is a very good guide and know the area well. We got to see lots of wildlife such as elephants, orangutans and crocodiles! The Cave...
