My boyfriend and I recently had the opportunity to spend just over a week with Scuba Jeff on Mabul Island and to be honest, neither of us could fault the place. The entire facility is kept spotlessly clean by the beautiful and amazing Pat and her team at all times. The girls are friendly and Pat herself was by far...

I have never been a budget traveller. When my friends arranged for us to stay at Scuba Jeff, I checked the reviews and I was like "OMG, can i survive sharing toilets, electric cut off on day time and all?" But, the moment I met Scuba Jeff himself, all things change. We felt the warmth as we were greeted by...

I gotta say I had an extremely low expectation with Scuba Jeff before arriving Mabul as I knew the accommodation is very basic. But maybe due to this, I was able to endure the days with no electricity and sharing the bathrooms with other guests. Lucky for us to go to Mabul during low season. Hence we had plenty of...

Awful food (although the rats and endlessly yowling cats like it) - cold rice, fish and cabbage for lunch and dinner every day. You WILL get wet when it rains at night. No dive equiptment (they borrow from other schools), one dive master who was quitting. No water in the showers (bucket job), no electricity in half the rooms (they...
