My boyfriend and I did a one night stay here as our last night before leaving South Africa. Our experience was marred slightly by arriving to a guest house with no hostess and the electric front gate closed (the electric gates although off putting are there because of the baboons - same reason shops have closed 'gates' over the doors). We were earlier than originally scheduled so we passed some time in the area but on returning there was still no hostess. We called 'Hannah' to be told that she was stuck in traffic leaving Cape Town but would send someone to let us in. Our stand in host arrived and once in the room it was everything we wanted. A decent size room with a great bathroom - the large, deep bath was a wonder. The room upstairs had lovely views and was very welcoming and airy, even allowing for the dreadful rain. There were tea/coffee/hot chocolate and cookies available on the table between the upstairs rooms and sherry. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast the next morning was cooked to order (you do fill out your choices the night before with a time that you will be down for). I had yoghurt and french toast (delicious), my boyfriend voted his bacon and eggs the best of the trip - and as always in South Africa the coffee was great. The hostess was maybe a little quieter/less chattier than most B&B hostesses but all in all I would recommend the place.

Often, a guest house that has few reviews can mean one of two things; either the place is not worth it or, it's a gem and the less reviews mean more chance of booking in next time. I most certainly support the latter! This small and quaint guest house is fantastic! The decor is tasteful and homely. Small bowls of chocolates litter the common areas and you are free to snack away!
The rooms are fairly sized. We stayed in the upstairs room which boasts magnificent views of the bay in the distance and the mountains that surround Pringle Bay. The beds are extremely comfortable and you have an abundance of choice as far as pillows go. Our room had a bath situated in the room and the toilet was separate with washbasin in the toilet area.
Every window has a view!
Breakfast - this must be one of the nicest breakfasts I have ever had at a guest house. Beautifully presented and prepared. Nothing was too much.
If you need a break, don't hesitate to book this delightful guest house. We will be back and have already booked our next trip.

We stayed with Hannalie at her guesthouse for two nights recently. The house is beautifully decorated in french style, and the rooms are very elegant. The upstairs rooms are the best, as they open out onto a huge balcony with views to the sea and mountains. The garden is also lovely, planted with almost all indigenous plants, and the black pool reflects the sky perfectly. The breakfasts are large and sumptuous, so if you are not a huge morning eater, do warn them in advance.
