What a fantastic place! The setting is right out of a postcard...beautiful inn next to covered bridge, river and waterfall. Joan was born to be an innkeeper. Her renovation of the property is nothing short of amazing. She offers great breakfasts, interesting conversation and wonderful advice on the many things to see and do in the area. We have enjoyed...

My husband and I recently spent two nights at this lovely B&B and we couldn't be more pleased that we did. The inn sits nestled next to a beautiful river that was so peaceful to listen to at night. The grounds were exquisite, with the beautiful trees in full fall color on view from the back porch, upon which my...

The Green River Bridge House was recommended to us by a friend as being an ideal place for a quiet, scenic, relaxing weekend. Her recommendation was spot on and more! The owner of the GRBH, Joan, is a warm and friendly person who makes sure everything is perfect. Our room was clean with a hot tub and a beautiful view...

Embarrassed that it has taken me so long to sit down and rave about this B&B. We enjoyed a wonderful stay here during fall foliage last year. When I booked, I had a slight hesitation because I thought that staying in downtown Brattleboro would be more ideal. I couldn't have been more wrong. The inn is a 10 minute drive...

My husband and I left our three children and our family business behind, to enjoy two nights in this elegant country setting. Our room sat right along the bank of Green River's historical waterfall, which lulled us to sleep. The gardens are enchanted and peaceful. Breakfast is served in an elegant dining room with views of the river. Joanie is...

I was fortunate enough to spend the last few days at this wonderful B&B. The setting is exquisite and what Joanie Seymour has done with the yard is nothing short of wonderful. She has captured the heart of Vermont along a flowing river. The weather was incredible, which simply enhanced the setting even more. Joanie is the consummate hostess, from...

It is a tiny B&B, but absolutely adorable. it is far enough away from the town that you here no sounds except the birds and the green river, it is incredibly quiet, peaceful and relaxing. And the owner is so warm, friendly and welcoming it was like visiting family. And her breakfasts are delicious too.

The Green River just outside the door of the Green River Bridge House purls away, day and night, providing soothing sounds when you stay at this beautifully restored old Vermont house. Jane Seymour is a perfect host, providing sumptuous breakfasts, directions through the back roads when you need them, and warm, lively company (with an international perspective) when you want...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Set in the picturesque village of Green River on a winding country road, the Green River Bridge House is nestled against the meandering Green River a few steps away from the historic Green River Covered Bridge. Across the road, perched on a small hill, is the former Methodist Episcopal Church, a classic white, steepled structure.Next to the covered bridge, water thunders over a rare, restored circa 1790 timber crib dam.The house, built in 1830, once housed the Green River Post Office. In earlier days the barn was the site of the local blacksmith shop. Lovingly and skillfully transformed, the Green River Bridge House is luxurious in comfort and sensuous in visual appeal. Every room is a warm embrace of soft colors, fine antiques and other unique furnishings.Though small enough to be homey, it is large enough and appropriately equipped to be the perfect setting for an intimate wedding or anniversary celebration. ... more   less
