This was my third stay this winter with my girlfriend and my sister. Judy and Hedley treated us like family and friends from the beginning, were very helpful in connecting us with local services, and were flexible in fitting with what we needed to do. They have a genuine concern for the well-being and satisfaction of their guests and are...

We really enjoyed our stay at Highfield House, Hedley and Judy the owners have made a lovely, comfortable and friendly b&b - our room was immaculate and cosy and the breakfasts very tasty. We stayed as we were going to a River Cottage day and the place couldn't be more ideally situated, with the added benifit of being able to...

From the first time I spoke to Judy and Hedley on the phone, they helped me organise the trip down from London to River Cottage HQ. The bedroom was spotless and well-presented. The breakfast was good, especially the fruit salad with optional greek yoghurt to start. The hosts answered our many questions and we felt very much at home. You...

I would thoroughly recommend Highfield B&B if you are ever visiting Axminster. Beautiful house, well equipped and very comfortable room. Hosts Judy and hedley looked after us very well with a refreshing sense of humour :-). Breakfast was outstanding (the bowl of fresh fruit to start was brimming with wonderful flavours including raspberries and strawberries). Highfield is within easy walking...

Last year work took me (off and on) down to Axminster. Typically I would have moved from hotel to hotel, but having stumbed on Highfield House it was my number one port of call every time - 57 times to be precise!! In fact I structured my work around room availability to ensure I got a good night's sleep! The...

Wonderfully friendly hosts, comfortable beds, beautiful (and spotless rooms) and then the perfect breakfast to set you up for the day. The fresh fruit salad was a lovely treat. Very handy location for the Dorset and Devon coastline and the Riverside Canteen (also fab) is just a short walk. Thanks Judy and Hedley for providing a warm welcome and excellent...

This BB is probably at the pinacle of quality - run by a geniune couple with real passion for quality, decor and value in all they do. The location is just out of town and yet close enough to be a short walk down the hill into the centre. If you are planning on eating out nearby - book first,...
