We stayed in the Amakhala Bush Lodge over Christmas. It was an absolutely wonderful experience, I could not recommend it any more. Staff - The staff were amazing. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, they went out of their way to accommodate our every need... and all with a smile! Room - We stayed in tent...

My wife and I spent 3 nights at Amakhala Bush Lodge. The people, starting with Edith at the Reception house, were absolutely wonderful. The lodge staff were all so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The "tent" was spectacular and the main building was perfect. As it was not quite spring the Lodge was not full, indeed one night...

We spent three fantastic adventurous days at Bush Lodge, Amakhala reserve together with our 12-year old daughter, and we loved very minute of it, despite having to get up in the almost freezing cold at 5:30 in the morning. The staff were extremely courteous and never hesitated to fulfil our requests promptly. On arrival we were welcomed with a delicious...

Where can I start? From the moment that we arrived we were treated fantastically. Even as we were being bundled onto a vehicle to go on our first drive within 5 minutes of arriving the staff were exceptional. Roan, our ranger was so enthusiastic that it was contagious. His knowledge of the game and area was vast and was happy...

Our family spent 3 nights at the Bush Lodge on a safari, what a great experience. The Amakhala Game Reserve is a private 20,000 acres of bush and big game. Rhynhold and his team were exceptional and really looked after us. There are only 5 suites so its a very personal experience with a maximum of 10 people staying there....

Spent three enjoyable nights at the lodge. We were very well looked after. Food and accommodation were all excellent. We were met from every game drive with a drink and warm face towels. Hot baths run for us when we returned from the evening game drives. The game drives were excellent with our very knowledable ranger Miena. Her affinity with...

There is nothing bad to say about our stay at bush lodge! If you're looking for a safari, amazing service, brilliant game drives, luxurious accommodation and tasty meals stay here!!!! Our ranger, Miena, was absolutely fantastic. We saw the big 5 up close and personal. The "tent" that you stay in is gorgeous, big comfortable beds, your own pool, separate...

Only 40 minutes from Port Elizabeth, Bush Lodge was everything we hoped it would be, and more. All staff were friendly and knowledgeable, relaxed yet attentive. Our accommodation was a perfect level of unique. All necessary amenities were in the lodge and thankfully, not a tv in sight. From our own lodge pool we spent several hours watching 'Norman, the...

Bush Lodge is a wonderful introduction to safari life! Although essentially a tent, it is luxurious accommodation and includes lovely bed and bedding, roll top bath and even a log burner which was lit all ready for us at the end of one particularly wet day. Meals are well cooked and plentiful and taken in the Lodge itself overlooking a...

We stayed in one of the thatched tents at Bush Lodge which was very spacious, good facilities and comfortable. As someone has already said, they give an authentic feel of the bush. Obviously as they have canvas sides they are affected by the weather more than a brick built lodge, and we were woken by a heavy storm one night...
