Spent three days and nights here. Absolutely the highlight of our trip to SA. There are only 5 lodges so very intimate. Wonderful huge lodge with canvas walls, air con, plunge pool, double bath, outdoor shower, log burner Bush lodge is one of 7 or so lodges on the awesome Amakhala game reserve. This is over 7000 hectares and the...

The best experience, i would rate in South Africa trip! The personal touch shown by Tracy (owner of the lodge) was beyond exceptional. This is the best property i would recommend for both the safaris and stay. Andrew was our Safari guide and he was the best among the ones i have experienced. Tracy cooked me a Jain meal which...

This was our last stop on our first trip to South Africa. I had been really looking forward to the three day safari but was a little disappointed with the resort and the game driving - though it must be said the staff were good especially Andrew whose stories if even half of them are true make up for the...

We had booked into Reed Valley and on our arrival were told it was undergoing some maintenance work so they had upgraded us to five star Bush Lodge which was one of the other lodges on the Game Reserve. We arrived quite late in the evening and immediately were very warmly greeted with our car unloaded and everything driven to...

My husband and I enjoyed a 2 night stay at Bush Lodge and it was wonderful. The staff could not have been more welcoming or accommodating; our lodge was beautiful and we could watch the wildlife from the comfort of our own private deck. Without a doubt, the highlight of our stay was our ranger, Elbie. She was so knowledgable...

Lovely ambiance and setup amidst the African fauna. Staff at all departments were very courteous. Most outstanding feature was the open-top shower room. Each room had a small pool setup of its own over-viewing the open fields. Absolutely amazing experience.

I had gone to South Africa on my honeymoon in December 2012/ January 2013 and we wanted to spend a few days in a game reserve. Amakhala turned out to be an excellent choice and Bush Lodge, even better! We drove from Cape Town to Knysna and then on to Amakhala. Once you reach the reception, you leave your car...

Usually, when I have very fond memories of a place, I’m hesitant to go back. I surely don’t wont to see a disappointing second stay ruin my first feelings. Our first stay at Bush Lodge was still a very vivid and magic moment, which was engraved in our thoughts and hearts and we really wanted to preserve it. But we...
