If you are in this are you have to stop buy at this school/restaurant/lodge. Either you just have a glass of water and take a tour through the school or you have Lunch at the schools restaurant which is run as a kind of hospitality course for the children. Pa Tui makes the best Thai food, this is a big...

Beautiful spacious, fresh and well presented rooms with comfortable beds, attractive decor and western style bathrooms (after travelling the country side of thailand you get the distinction). These rooms make for a lovely place to stay but then you add to it that you are based at a school/orphanage for children who live on the same property and you are...

I visited Yaowawit in October 2011. I went there with my mum, dad and sister. The lodge is located in the middle of the jungle, but with easy access to local villages, a beautiful beach and the Phuket airport. The rooms we stayed in were a lot better than I had imagined. They were spacious, clean and with a lovely...

To be part of the Yaowawit School and Lodge is an experience on it's own. What better way to add real value to your stay in this beautiful country. To see children surviving a tragedie like the Tsunami and the strength they show and the effort they make, to ensure themselves of a future, which is provided for them by...

We stayed overnight on the weekend during a mountain bike ride from Phuket to Takua Pa on the coast. We met Vincent, one of the volunteers, who showed us the school, the restaurant and the accommodations. The whole concept of the place is pretty cool, a school for underprivileged children, some direct victims of the 2004 tsunami, some indirect victims,...

Set in the hills around Khao Lak and nestled in the middle of a rain forest is Yeowa Wit Hotel/School. A lovely getaway from the bustle of Khao Lak (scuba diving headquarters for this area) and only 30 minutes minutes by car/motorbike. The roads are good to and from. Once you’re there you can chose from one of seven units,...

Yaowawit is a very special place. Set-up after the Tsunami, it is from its origin a school/orphanage for kids with sad family stories. Meanwhile own agricultural activities, a lodge and a restaurant help to earn money in order to support this project. So you have the great opportunity to spend days in beautiful nature, relax at a spacious pool, and...

We enjoyed our recent visit to the Yaowawit School Hotel in Kapong, in a gorgeous location in the jungle near Khao Sok national park. The executive suite was spacious, as were the superior rooms, and well appointed with a big bed, comfy couches, a separate office and luxurious bathroom. What we most enjoyed was meeting the kids who attend the...
