From outside with a maintained garden this place looks really pretty. But when I saw our modest room with a tiny bathroom furnished with old and heavy fittings it was a huge disappointment. The atmosphere in the premises was not cosy and quite cold, literally and figuratively. Even the food on the breakfast table was very basic and appeared uninviting....

The family that runs this hosteria makes you feel like you are at home. They are some of the kindest people you will meet! We were so comfortable in our comfy beds, blackout curtains and DELICIOUSLY wonderful shower with a rainfall shower head. The living room is so fun to sit in, and it was beautiful to sit in during...

The room we booked was being renovated when we got there so they placed us in the very big and luxury cabana. We still used the breakfast with other guests. The host was very friendly and spoke English and german.

I went there with my girlfriend. We stayed one night and enjoyed it. Rooms are nasic but clean and with a heater. Hildegard is a friendly host. Breakfast is basic but sufficient. We would stay there again.

We spent 3 nights at this place. We wanted to spend some nice days with a comfortable room. When we arrived it was a rainy day so we were really happy when the host showed us our cosy double bed with a heater in the room (gas). The highlight though was the beautiful warm shared living room. There is an...

Poor town. Looks not exciting to stay for a tourist, especially when it's raining like the day we arrived. Nice garden, friendly family, we speak a bit German. Good choice to take the room on the front leftside downstairs because you don't have people above or next to you. It can be noisy between the thin walls, especially when there...

We stayed at Hosteria Alemena instead of paying the ridiculous prices at the Puyuhuapi Lodge & Spa (but went there for a day of indulgence). Lucky my husband spoke Spanish as the managers at Alemana had no English whatsoever. They are descendants of German settlers and as such had wonderful strudel and coffee available. Breakfast was generous and of a...

After 2 nights at the overpriced Puyuhuapi Lodge&Spa, Hosteria Alemana was a decent choice. Sr. Ursula (the owner) welcomed us warmly and we spent 1 night at her well kept accommodations. Puyuhuapi town could be a pearl in this magical landscape of Northern Patagonia but besides Hosteria Alemana and Casa Ludwig all the other houses are poorly maintained. I would...
