Ia Orana Scenic, Thank you for your kind review. We are delighted to hear how awesome was your time in Kia Ora Rangiroa. Snorkeling in the 'aquarium' is a unique moment offering nice time with fishes. The drift snorkeling in the Tiputa pass is also a memorable activity which may allow you to spot dolphins while they are swimming in the pass! We do hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back! Best regards, Amélie

The Kia Ora resort was such a pleasant surprise. Great bungalow, delicious breakfast buffet (the coconut jam I will go back for) and the people working there are wonderful. Not sure what some of the bad reviews are all about. So the pool is older, big deal you have a stubbing oce

Ia Orana AngieWeinberger, Thank you for your pleasant review about the property. The Chef is delighted of your enthusiasm for his coconut jam which is home made! The pool deck is starting to be outdated however it's under project to get it renovated & rearranged in the future. And yes agreed, the lagoon is beautiful enough to welcome any swimmers! Looking forward to welcoming you for more diving & sunbathing! Maururu roa & sunny regards, Amélie

This is basically the only big hotel in Rangiroa, but it doesn't rest on that reputation. It is very comfortable and beautifully situated. The only faults are those of Rangiroa itself, in being so isolated, and not with the hotel. The restaurant is outstanding and they went above

Ia Orana Amy O, It was a pleasure to welcome you in Kia Ora Rangiroa. Our restaurant team thanks you for the nice comments about Te Rairoa restaurant. We are delighted to accommodate all special dietary & ensure the food offered is still amazing. For the beach bungalows, different locations that would depend on personal preferences. We are working on improving cleaning & air conditioning in those bungalows. Concerning snacks & restaurants, they are located usually in the village which is about 10km from us. Rangiroa being a small island taxi services are few to nothing in the evening. However our Te Rairoa restaurant is offering two Polynesian show weekly & a nice menu for your delight. Looking forward to welcoming you back! Maururu & kindest regards, Amélie

Rangiroa is an epic place to scuba dive with sharks and a must stay at the Hotel Kia Ora. The beach bungalow was clean, simple and perfectly located close to the dive shop. The resort grounds are beautiful, food and drinks both better than expected. Staff are friendly and most im

Ia Orana Pbearfox, Thank you for your visit at Kia Ora Rangiroa. Scuba diving is amazing & Tiputa pass has its own reputation within scuba-divers world! We do have different location for the beach bungalow each with their pros & cons, close to the public areas or further out, offering beautiful views of blue hues of the lagoon. Our team is always delighted to welcome guests & have them enjoying their beautiful island. Looking forward to welcome you back for another tiramisu! Maururu & best regards, Amélie

Dear Paso56, Thank you for your review. It is always a pleasure to welcome back guests over & over again. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the comfort of the bed & the bungalow. We do apologise for the inconvenience of some smoke. Our security team was sent to the place of the fire to discover it was green vegetation being burnt; garden cleaning of the neighbourhood. Your comments concerning breakfast room-service has been forwarded to our restaurant team & they will work on improving it. Our Chef was delighted to hear your great comments about the food. Since over 30 years the Resort has the same owner and it's still the same as I am writing, rumors run fast on islands! Internet has been a challenging point the last few weeks. Actually all Tuamotus islands are connected to internet through satellite connection... which is really chaotic at many times. However since few months the Government has been working on a huge project getting fiber optic through the islands (from Marquesas to Tuamotus to Tahiti). Not all islands will be linked however Rangiroa is on the path & work has been under process. The last update we got was that network should be turned on before Festive time. We do hope it will be operational immediately for the comfort of our guests. We do hope to have the chance to welcome you again and wish you amazing travels & dives wherever you will be! Maururu & kindest regards, Amélie

Hi there, are you able to tell me what 'half board' includes please and if you would recommend it? Many thanks.
Hello, It includes american breakfast and a three course dinner. On Wednesday and Sunday nights there is a BBQ so that is included for those nights. When ordering à la carte from our dinner menu, there are not restrictions on our present menu. That is, you can choose any entrée, any main course and any dessert. Warm Island Regards...

Deciding between Top Dive & 6 Passengers. Our concern is getting to and from 6 passengers - how far? We don't want to spend our day in transport and like the idea of being able to go to our room in between dives. Please share pros & cons. Also, is it worth it to get PADI rescue diver before going? I've emailed dive shops and they say most dives are less then 100ft, but to see the wall of sharks I need rescue diver. Any insight on this?
Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. Both clubs are good. The hotel works with the Top Dive club which has a base at the hotel. They are the only ones who have access to our dock for diving departures. All other dive clubs pick up the guests are the lobby by car and take them to their dive clubs. As for the diving questions, please email Top Dive directly or email the hotel and we will forward the email to them. Thank you again.

Hello, We would like to do a tour of the Blue Lagoon but don't want to commit full day, as only there 3 days and want to dive as much as possible. Has anyone hired a private boat to Blue Lagoon? What is the cost and how long is the tour? thank you!
Hello, The regular Blue Lagoon trip is great. It is from 9am to 4 pm. It includes lunch. Everybody loves this excursion. The cost is 10 900 cfp (about $110 US) per person including lunch. You could hire a private boat to take you there for a half day (4 hours) but since it takes an hour to get there and an hour to come back to the hotel, it doesn't give you much time to enjoy the Blue Lagoon. The cost would be 45 000 cfp (about $450 US) for 4 hours without lunch.
