The place has new owners, everything is clean and cozy. The tavern has excellent kitchen and musicians. Unique design, Very affordable, friendly staff. I would highly recommend ! The area and location is fabulous.

I was in this hotel for some working days in Blagoevgrad. It is a horrible hotel, with a strange structure non really functional. They put me in a terrible room almost inserted in the mountain, dark, cold, without the possibility to open the windows... It is old, dirty, uncomfortable, dark, the personnel is unpleasant and sometimes impolit. Breakfast was sad... More

The hotel has a wonderful location but has much of the period charm of the Soviet era. Low wattage lighting and off hand service were a disappointment as was the discovery that we couldn't eat in the restaurant because of "2 large groups" - which we failed to see. Rooms were large and well furnished but not too clean. The... More

We had a great view from our balcony. A wonderful church was quite close -- next yard. The hotel is relatively close to the center of the city -- walking distance of max. 10 min (ladies should skip high heels). There is no descent place to park your car. No elevator. Loooong corridors and no light in them. The staff... More

The hotel was nice. The location is great - right near the cente. The place itself has a nice vibe of old fashion but a bit dark but very beautiful . The general atmosphere is nice, but the shower was cold and linen not very clean. The stuff was very nice

I have stayed at Hotel Kristo many times. It has always been clean and friendly. I love the old dark, wooden paneling and stone work. Looking out your window, you see the church and old town with the new town beyond. Nearby, there are several small enjoyable venues for food including the hotel mehana.

It is an interesting experience staying at this hotel! Its particularly good if you like gloomy, badly-lit staircases with wobbly banisters but beautiful wooden panelling. We originally booked a standard room but it was, yes you guessed, a bit gloomy, so we upgraded to a bigger room with a rather soggy balcony but lovely views of the church down below.... More

Went three times at the hotel. Very quiet place, as the whole city. The restaurants in the hotel yard are in old beautiful buildings. I enjoyed the artistic workshops in the old city area. Surroundings are also nice to be visited by bicycle or hiking.
