Although the staff were great, the hotel needs a make over. Beds are small - my BF who is 6'4ft tall, his feet were hanging . There's no AC nor a fan. They have no graveyard shift employee so door are locked and you can't get out - which Is a hazard. And against the law. Breakfast is just ok... More

We stayed there for 3 nights in Sept,2014. The strongest point is the personal attention. It is managed by the owner and her son. It's very simple and you will like it if you enter the mood. There are a lot of restaurants in the neighborhood. It is a beautiful place to be in contact with nature, to make trails... More

Hotel la Cumbrecita was the very first building in this unique village. The entire hotel breathes this original atmosphere and fortunately hasn't been "refurbished" yet. Rooms are small but cosy, bathroom same, the view is splendid, lobby cosy. The pool area is magnificent. Breakfast is simple, but if you ask for an egg, they will get you one. For the... More

Location is very good, food in the restaurant was really bad, we only had dinner once so rest... More

There are way better places to stay in this town. Needs refurbishing, very expensive, dirty rooms, crap service and don't BBQ there. 30 pesos + for salad, per person charge, drinks must be bought from them and the socially inept son WILL look in your bags to ensure no regular priced beer has been smuggled in. Dust, skanky showers, horrible... More

We flew to Cordoba and rented a vehicle to drive the approximate 2.5 hours to La Cumbrecita which was part of the adventure since we did not realize that there was the "old" road and the new road (not marked on maps). But once we arrived we found Hotel La Cumbrecita we fell in love with this little town. We... More
