The wonderful B&B, Knowles Lodge has been closed. The house is now a private residence, awaiting demolition and rebuilding. Chris and Pam have moved to Devon and are enjoying their retirement. I hope this review will help people trying to book and I know they had many repeat guests who loved it here.

Chris & Pam made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived until we left. The room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was stunning. A lovely location, a lovely home and lovely hosts! An excellent first stop over on the Dalesway walk.

The B&B is in a superb spot in the Dales with quite stunning views over Wharfedale. Its around a 10 minute drive from any of the local pubs, or quite a hike, so bear that in mind if you want to go out in the evening. Its in a large plot of land and has a some very attractive gardens.... More

A beautiful house and very comfy bed. The en suite and room were spotless and we were greeted with a cup of tea and a nice warm fire. Pam and Chris were very friendly, offering advice and information about where to visit in the surrounding area. The breakfast was lovely and a lot on offer. I'd definitely go back.

We arrived mid Saturday afternoon and were immediately warmly welcomed by Pam. This is a lovely, comfortable and very clean B&B in a beautiful location. I had an afternoon snooze it was so peaceful. The bathroom had White Company complimentary toiletries (always a bonus). Breakfast was delicious and generous served by the owner. We would definitely recommend this to any... More

We were staying as we were guests at a local wedding. Chris made us so welcome and at ease we arrived late to the wedding reception, tea on the terrace, was very refreshing arriving on one of the hottest days of the year. The Lodge is set in 17 acres of land which Chris gave us a mini guided tour... More

We were looking for accomodation for the night of my son's wedding in Appletreewick. Knowles Lodge was one of our options and we were tempted by the location and the photos available on the internet. The Location really lived up to our expectations. The rooms were decorated beautifully and everything was of a high standard. It is just a pity... More

We had a 1 night stay at Knowles Lodge on 8th September whilst attending a family wedding. We received a warm welcome from Chris, who came to greet us from our car, and brought us tea to drink on the verandah. Our room was clean, spacious and had everything we might have needed for our short stay. We were a... More

My partner and I stayed 9th June 2012 for 1 night as part of our Dales Way walking holiday. The accommodation was immaculate and the breakfast 1st class. Room for improvement: a TV in the room (although I suspect Chris likes to chat away with the guests in the lounge), biscuits in date, and the cold tap not running warm.

Attended our friends wedding at the weekend and had a very pleasant stay at Knowles Lodge. Stunning setting and amazing views from our bedroom window. The hosts were eccentric in a good way and very welcoming and great to talk to. Breakfast was great and just wish we could have stayed longer.
