Perfectly situated cabins right on Lac St-Jean! The cabin is fully equipped with fridge, microwave, toaster oven, kitchen supplies, and all you need for your stay. The bed was super comfy too! Too bad it was raining as we could not take advantage of the lake. There is also a spa circuit which is available to all guests!

The grounds are lovely, and the room is good. But for, us it is not worth it if you have to wait over an hour for your food. We had a reservation at 8:30 in the evening, our dinner came 45 minutes later. the next morning we wanted to hit the trail. We went to breakfast at 7:50. We were served our food at 9:05. When I got my breakfast my eggs were cold and one third of the size of the rest of the table. inconsistent portions and temperature was not worth the hour and 15 minute wait. Valuable trail time was lost. Again, the accommodations are great but collectively spending two hours in a chair waiting for meals is not worth this day.

We had booked a room with mezzanine for our children (15 and 10) but on arrival we were given the keys to a small apartment with one bed and a sofa bed. On returning to reception we were told that they had made an error but couldn’t (wouldn’t) do anything as they were fully booked. We called our travel agency, Authentik, who organised a refund and the reception offered us dinner and breakfast on the house. We accepted breakfast and headed into town for a lovely dinner at Emporté Moi instead. However, based on our breakfast experience I wouldn’t advise eating here. The lake isn’t as pretty as others we have seen in Canada and for me doesn’t have the ‘wow’ factor. The beach could do with a clean and some chairs for visitors would be nice. The room was very uncomfortable for 4 people and the complimentary breakfast (which took 45 minutes to arrive) was awful. I’d skip this place and keep driving......

These cabins are well situated close to the lake and one has access to a small beach. However, the water seems to be rather muddy in this place and we preferred going to the national park on the other side of the lake. The appartement was very spacious and we had a well equipped kitchen. We had a few meals on the porch with view on the lake. A downside is that noise from the main road and the passing trains travels far and unrestricted. We tried to sleep with open windows but were awoken by a passing train blowing its horn in the early morning. Since the appartement has no AC and the weather was hot, open windows were the only option to get some cool air in (the temperature in the appartement reached 27 °C).

Property better suited to Families than for couples. Restaurant was above average with breakfast having a very good selection of food. We were there for Sunday brunch. Rooms have a kitchenette and nice outside deck area. Beach is nice but no walking trails.
