Kewarra resort is located well away from everything, making for a very peaceful jungle- like location for our 1 week stay. It has a nice clean well maintained pool, but the rest of the facilities are in much need of some repair and maintenance. Staff...More

Thank you for your most recent review of our site. We are truely lucky to be positioned in the most lush rainforest environment, joined directly to half a kilometre of unspoilt beachfront. A real "rainforest meets the beach" experience.

Hi Troy, great question. Crocodiles live pretty much anywhere in the top end of Australia and this region is no exception. The local area is monitored very well by the Department of Environment and Heritage Protection. Any animal that is sighted is relocated.
It is certainly never advisable to swim around or in the local estuaries, river mouths and especially at night. Otherwise the oceans are warm and inviting year round and Kewarra Beach has it's own stinger enclosure for the periods when required.
We look forward to having the opportunity to welcome you to our sunny shores.

There are no bars or restaurants nearby.
No problem with tour operators picking you up from the resort.
Small shops are about 20-30 min walk away. There is also large shopping centre about 45-50 min walk away.
