The place is truly special with beautiful swimming pools and a great restaurant. The staff are very nice and make you feel really comfortable. Unfortunately the rooms were not cleaned to a good standard which was not in line with the rest of the place....More
We spent New Year's Eve in the Kewarra, it was fantastic, though no animation for this special night, but still we had everything prepared to enjoy as lovers in the bungalow :)
The resort is fabulous, enclosed in the middle of the forest, we encountered...More
From the moment we arrived, (actually were there January 2010) we felt the warm hospility of the staff, they were outstanding! The Resort blends well into the rainforest, the surroundings were beautiful and not overdeveloped. It was quiet, hardly saw or heard any other guests,...More
A really great few days with a wonderful room and rainforest outlook. I cannot praise the attitude of the staff enough. Friendly, helpful and really approachable, no matter how small the query was. The beach and beach bar are one of the best I have...More

Hi Troy, great question. Crocodiles live pretty much anywhere in the top end of Australia and this region is no exception. The local area is monitored very well by the Department of Environment and Heritage Protection. Any animal that is sighted is relocated.
It is certainly never advisable to swim around or in the local estuaries, river mouths and especially at night. Otherwise the oceans are warm and inviting year round and Kewarra Beach has it's own stinger enclosure for the periods when required.
We look forward to having the opportunity to welcome you to our sunny shores.

There are no bars or restaurants nearby.
No problem with tour operators picking you up from the resort.
Small shops are about 20-30 min walk away. There is also large shopping centre about 45-50 min walk away.
