I gave the Merrymouth Inn 5 stars because it is excellent value for money, provides great service, the staff are friendly and helpful and the location is perfect for walking and access to the burford/stow area. Bill went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed, his cooking was fab, the bakewell tart in particular is...

What a great stay at the Merrymouth! Bill couldn't have been more welcoming! A character that we will never forget. He knew exactly who we were before we introduced ourselves, popped up now and then stirring something or other from the kitchen with a witty line to only disapear as quick as he arrived. A nice quiet setting amongst miles...

Stayed one night as was going to a friend's party a few miles away. It's in a bit of a bleak spot, and right by the main road, so not a place to hang around for the weekend, but perfectly fine for an overnight stay. The staff member who showed us to the room was friendly and polite. The room...

Third time we have stayed at the Merrymouth Inn, again we couldn't fault it. Lovely room, fabulous freshly cooked food at really good prices and a real homely feeling. Thanks Bill , Hope Ollie didn't scare your cat too much, see you again soon.

Great location, good food and very friendly bar and waiting staff. Breakfast superb, fresh, unhurried and welcoming. Great host. Dogs loved too! My dog got his very own warm sausage for breakfast. Superb views and easy access to great scenery and roads. Loved it

Great venue, great food, great beer, even better people! Handy location but quiet as well. Great place to stop when exploring Oxford and the Cotswolds. Breakfast is made with local ingredients and is worth the stay by itself!

Friendly, excellent food and a great location. Breakfast is simply divine and the service impeccable. Bill is a "one off" as a character and will treat you as a member of the family. We have stayed there numerous times and will continue to do so. All the best for 2015!

We spent 2 nights here , with friends. We met more family and friends in nearby Burford. Bill and his team were so friendly and welcoming. We arrived late on our first evening and Bill managed to feed all 5 of us with a super, evening meal. Breakfast on both mornings were amazing. Local fresh ingredients combined with a smashing...
