I had promised my wife that on landing back in Germany just before midnight after four exciting days in Marrakesh and not wanting to drive home through the night, we would not experience an anticlimax so "splashed out" and stayed overnight at the Hotel Schloss Hertefeld. What a lucky choice! Our room was exquisite -- very tastefully furnished and the...

Schloss Hertefeld is an amazing place to stay - quirky and captivating and thoroughly comfortable. We learned that the Schloss itself was burned down in WW2 by the retreating Germans and has been partially restored so that it is surrounded by the remaining ruins in a way which is both romantic and wistful at the same time. At the top...

Fabulous find.Great price.First rate personal service.Amazing banquet breakfast at a time of our choosing with candles and music? Lovely bedrooms and bathrooms...we had the offer of choosing our own room. Good location suitable for getaway weekends with or without children and close to the village of Weeze and train station one hour from Düsseldorf.

I stayed here on business for four nights, largely because of it's proximity to the Weeze airport and the fact that Dusseldorf was booked up because of the Medica expo. My room was uperb, huge with an equally large bathroom. Some minor issues such as slow broadband which was quickly sorted out....freezing cold weather in November did not really do...

Dear guest, thank you very much for your kind review. We are grateful you mentioned the arctic water temperatures upon arrival, as we had not yet realised a broken fuse of the circulating pump. Fortunately this could be fixed immediately to provide from then on equatorial water temperatures for the rest of your stay. Hope to see you again one...

Not many choices in Weeze, but found this place through hotels.com and was not disappointed. Greeted by a very welcoming person who showed us to our room, was upstairs and no elevator (if you have big luggage). It's a great location, just around the corner from the town and only 10 minutes from the airport. The room was huge, had...

This was perhaps our best surprize & found by fluke! We were heading towards Dusseldorf as we had booked a flight from Weeze to Malaga so Tripadvisor again came to the rescue. Had never heard of Weeze before but we were very pleasantly surprized. Lovely little town very close to the dutch border so a great base for sightseeing etc....

Stayed here for one night as part of a nostalgic trip back to RAF Laarbruch which is now Weeze Airport. My sister stayed in the tower room - beautifully restored and very "fairy tale" and we stayed in the "high tech" suite which is on the side of the main house. Two opposites!! The tower suite is huge and has...

Amazing, simply amazing. You start by driving down a tree lined driveway, and are presented with a beautiful and grand old building. The owner was an extremely good host and spoke perfect English. The room was fairytale - four poster bed, great bathroom, big TV and music system along with a book collection big enough to start a library. Breakfast...

the agency booked it through booking.com so we did not know what to expect but the hotel is more than a house with a tower than a typical hotel. Very well restored and really quite and well furnished to high standard, lovely comfy bed. i slept on the tower room, really fantastic and lovely for a romantic stay. I visited...

The castle ruin is nicely restored (partially) and a romantic spot to stay for one or more nights. We loved the very friendly staff and the room. Fantastic place to bring your partner for a surprise stay.
