Bhanwar Vilas Palace is the old palace of Maharaja converted into Heritage Hotel. It is the only highend property to stay in Karauli. The campus in which it is situated is very huge with palaces, vintage cars, horses, and other animals. But the hotel and campus is not maintained properly. The rooms are full with mosquitoes. The staff in Hotel...

Good large room with interesting features. Bathroom had an excellent shower. Garden was nice.Hotel was in a quiet spot so good to relax in the evening. Staff were attentive and you could walk to the City Palace which was a bonus.

We stayed here for one night. The palace is beautiful and big. There is a a nice garden and a big dining room where they offer good food. The rooms were basic and a bit cold in the winter, but I would definitely recommend to stay here.

If it could just be cleaned properly this place would be stunning. That said it is in India and it's definately worth staying at - but so much more could be made of this place with a little effort. If you do stay make sure you go and see the garages out the back.

This is more of a home stay than a hotel, but more welcoming and charming than most hotels. Step back in time to the 1930s and enjoy the quaint and comfortable rooms, the Maharaja's family furniture, photos and mementos around the place and chat to the gracious Maharani over a gin and tonic about her plans for a museum of...

This place is so beautifull and serene. The personnel and food are amazing. Had a wonderfull time here. And the maharadja still lives there which is awesome! The maharadja likes to talk with all the people that are staying in this large and beautifull palace.

It is a nice and beautiful property, clean rooms, and tasty dinner and breakfast. The surrounding plantation and gardens are also gorgeous. It is a part of the Intrepid Golden triangle trip. I would give 5 stars, if they accept credit cards again.

This is an interesting hotel. Don't expect 4 or 5 star treatment. It has basic rooms. Lots of mosquitos. The Maharaja still lives in the property upstairs. It is a really like living in the colonial times. An enjoyable stay.

Art deco meets Indian royalty heritage. This is a special experience and we loved it. Do not expect ultra modern amenities or up to date finishes. The atmosphere is outstanding, the staff friendly and helpful and the food was great. We stayed here as part of our Intrepid Real Food Adventure Tour. Dinner in the gorgeous courtyard was a highlight.

What a fabulous place. Very spacious rooms, real hot water and good shower facilities. The hotel is luxurious but like a step back in time. The grounds looked beautiful but sadly because of our itinerary, we were only here overnight and gone again by early morning. Would certainly recommend
