Modern boutique hotels are designed with this in mind. Please look at the photographs. Once in your life you should stay in a place like this. From the initial greeting from the charming helpful owner Michelle to the homemade apple and walnut jam at breakfast this home is inspiring. The rooms are beautiful from days gone by. Genuine antique furniture...

Thank you Michelle for making us feel so welcome and looking after us so well! We loved our room, your kindness to us and a wonderful breakfast to send us on our way. A very welcome tranquil stay and yet close to Rouen.

We loved our stay at Manoir du Captot from the moment we stepped in the door. We stayed in the gorgeous Pink room which is beautifully decorated, with a large ensuite and large king size bed with beautiful linens and one of the most comfortable beds we have slept in. The location was great for us as we visited nearby...

Close to the city and autoroute, this place still felt rural and tucked off the beaten track. The owner, her lovely dog and gorgeous home were a treat. The place is stacked with lovely furnishings but rooms were spotless and breakfast fresh, French and generous.

As you came off the main road and into the driveway, you have to admire the look of this Manor. It is an 18th Century house oozing charm and 'huge'. Our room was on the top floor and consisted of a massive main bed and a great single for our 7 year old. The en suite was very well appointed...

A wonderful treat for Americans (or anyone else) seeking traditional French charm. Lovely large rooms with idyllic pastoral grounds only 15 minutes by car from the center of town. The proprietor, Michelle, looked after all our needs. She recommended a local restaurant open late, an ancient abbey (St. George de Boscherville) in the nearby countryside and a scenic drive along...

Was coming to the area and needed a placed to stay. I saw this on the web and wrote to the proprietor. I asked about 2 specific rooms as they looked well decorated and I wanted to stay somewhere traditionally french looking. Well, I am happy to say this was a great experience and I would stay again. The rooms...

We visited Rouen as treat for my mother's 70th birthday and Manoir du Captot was absolutely perfect. The room was beautifully furnished and very clean, the bed was very comfortable and we both felt completely relaxed and refreshed at the end of our stay. Michelle is such a lovely host, she gave us lots of information on the area and...

We stayed here for two days and using Manoir de Captot as our home base for discovering Normandie. Absolutely fabulous and Michelle is the most amazing host ever. She is an absolute darling and gave us the most amazing room (Pink Room) overlooking the back of the property. Her lovely daughter and grandsons were there as well. Beautiful breakfasts in...

I owe this review to Michelle Desrez and to you, fellow travelers. We stayed in Manoir du Captot in August 2013, but memories are fresh and wonderful. Lovely XVIII century manor house, beautiful grounds, and last but not least, the best hostess I've ever met with! And the fact that it's less than ten minutes from Rouen we found to...
