Call hotel for transfer from JR station after 2.30PM or get unlimited bus tickets (most likely you'll need them anyway,Y1100 pp 2 days I believe , bus comes every 15 minutes or less). They'll keep your luggage if you arrive early so you may take that bus and go sightseeing. Hotel also provided a free van early morning to the train... More

Check in was professional and detailed. The receptionist clearly explained the meal plans, location of various amenities, how to use the hot baths, shuttle service etc. Then, he brought us to the rooms, and introduced the various features. There is a detailed booklet on hot bath etiquette. I liked the western-style room. It was large. Very traditional setting. Lighting was... More

Pleasant stay, the staff is extremely friendly and warm welcoming us. I guess we are the last check in group as the welcome staff recognize us at once. Would definitely stay here again next time if we visit Azagawa. Look out from the window can see the Fuji Mt. so you don't have go walk out to the late to... More

We stayed 2 nights in the Japanese style bedroom. The hotel seems to be a little old, but the room is quite spacious and the view is OH MY GOD! Lake kawaguchiko and Mt Fuji are right outside of our window. The hotel has a rooftop public onsen with the lake and mountain view, which undoubtedly amazing! The breakfast was... More

I had an unforgettable experience staying in the traditional Japanese room. Although the decor is a bit dated, the room is very well maintained and clean. Highly recommend the full boarding option as I thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful spread of traditional Japanese cuisine prepared by the hotel. If you are lucky on the weather, Mt. Fuji will happily appear right... More

I came here during June 2016, was able to secure booking almost immediately probably because of off peak season after the Spring season. This hotel offers rejuvenating hot Spring at the top of the hotel building, spotting great view of Kawaguchi Lake near Fujiyama. With offers of tantalizing, traditional Japanese meal that offers the feeling of bliss. The hotel offers... More

We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights in traditional Japanese Style room. The room is spacious and clean with a nice bathroom. The decor is very simple as per the traditional style. The room is "multi- purpose" room. Which means during the day you have table and chairs and during dinner time someone comes in and sets up the... More

We stayed in the Japanese style rooms which I can highly recommend. The rooms are very spacious with an amazing bathroom. A great view but sadly no Mount Fuji for us as it was too cloudy. The onsen was absolutely fantastic, particularly the outdoor one on the roof - very relaxing. Very much enjoyed the Japanese robes and pyjama style... More

Staffs are very friendly and welcoming. Outdoor onsen with a nice view of Mt Fuji. Just kind of strange sitting in the onsen naked with other guests of the hotel. Dinner and breakfast have a variety of Japanese food. some food is good and some food is so-so. Interesting experience.

Even before we stayed here- I knew it would be great. The hotel emailed us confirming our dietary requirements or if anyone was able to eat raw fish/pork etc. We only spent 1 night in this beautiful lodging but we were blown away. I booked this one as I knew each room would be facing Fujisan so it would not... More
