Ritz-Carlton Style Customer Service! Upon arrival at the kawaguchiko railway station (which is also a bus terminal), you could give the ryokan a ring and they will provide complimentary shuttle service pick up from the station. The drive takes about 5 minutes. Stayed with a group of 6 people in 3 rooms and everyone were full of praises of the...

We were a group of 6 adults and three year old twin boys who booked 2 rooms for an overnight stay at Hotel Asafuji and we all loved the experience. ROOM: was spacious and well prepared. Upon arriving, we were served green tea and some red bean pastry and enjoyed the sunset with a view of Mt. Fuji and Lake...

I definitely recommend this Ryokan. The onsen was large and very well maintained. Beautiful view from the room and the staff was incredibly nice. Went above and beyond. We had to leave for the train early the next morning, so would have missed breakfast so they packed us breakfast to go AND drove us to the train station. They were...

Hotel is small (13rooms) and thereby quite cosy. Staff is friendly and helpful. The Onsen is on the 4th floor and you should go as it has a nice view of Mt Fuji, especially during sunset. Food is above average. The one setback we had was a bad odor which we together with the Hotel trace it to their trap...

The room was clean and spacious. The ryokan served us amazing breakfast and dinner. We were so full after each meal. We also enjoyed the onsen which has a view of Mt Fuji on a clear cloudless day! They also offer free pick up at the bus and train station at Kawaguchiko.

We stayed at Asafuji for one night. The hotel came to pick us up at the railway station right after we called them from a pay phone. The staff were very welcoming and helped us to understand what we would experience during our stay, as this was our first time to a Japanese guesthouse. The onsen (hot springs bath) was...

We loved staying in this Japanese style hotel / room. The staff were so welcoming and cute. It was a perfect stay in Kawaguchiko. We could see Mount Fuji from our window and even from our bathtub! (Stayed on the 4th floor). The public baths are also on the 4th floor and are quite nice to relax in at the...

The photos staff have uploaded do not do this place justice - it is more beautiful than it is in photos. I travelled alone. I had an excellent view of the river, and when craning my head I could see Mt Fuji. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and do their best to help you...

Our stay at Asafuji Ryoukan in Kawaguchiko, Japan was awesome. The staff was exceptionally kind and the service was outstanding. My young daughter and I made the trip in order to see Mt. Fuji. The day we arrived, it was cloudy, but the next morning we had a beautiful view from our room of the enchanting mountain and prestige lake...

When me and my boyfriend planed our trip we only had one night and one morning in Fuji before our next stop. We wanted to stay at a ryokan and we knew it was going to be expensive. But having that experience is worth every penny. We contact the hotel and they picked us and another family up from the...

One of our top picks in Fujikawaguchiko. Boasting hot-spring baths with views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi, Asafuji provides air-conditioned Japanese-style rooms with a minibar and a green tea set. An in-room dinner can be ordered in advance, and on-site parking is free. The air-conditioned rooms at Asafuji Inn have Shoji paper screens and a low table with floor cushions. Each room includes a private toilet, and guests bathe at the hot-spring baths. Japanese-style futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor is provided. Massages are available, and the reception can store luggage. The public hot-spring baths are open from 06:00-09:30 and from 15:00-23:45 daily. Facing Lake Kawaguchi, the hotel is 2 km from Kawaguchiko Train Station and 10-minute drive from Fuji-Q Highland amusement park.
