We enjoyed our stay in this seasoned hotel. Stay in Japanese room with futon. Dinner was prepared for the group. All dressed up for dinner in the Japanese long dress, overcoat and sandal provided in the room. We had a memorable group photo in full dress. Dinner was superb. The hotel served concentrated grape juice for all guess in lobby...

This onsen (温泉)-hotel locates just next to 河口湖 (Kawaguchi lake), having a very great view. It is not close to the town though, the hotel itself has lots of parking space that's free, so it's the best to get yourself a rental car. Why I said the hotel had great C/P ratio (cost-performance ratio) is that the price was not...

We stayed here for our last night in Japan at the end of our holiday before heading back to Tokyo. We had a big Japanese style room overlooking the lake and found the hotel to be very comfortable . The staff,as usual, were polite and helpful . Ok, the building is a bit dated but does that really matter? The...

We stayed here as part of our trip to see the suicide forest, Aokigahara. The hotel is in a beautiful location, overlooking Lake Kawaguchi. But the hotel itself is not good. It's decor is very 1960s, therefore looking dated. The room was ok but the ensuite bathroom and shower were absolutely minuscule. We went downstairs for dinner, but were turned...

This hotel is beautifully located on lake Kawaguchiko and close to lake Saiko . Our room was OK, staff was professional and friendly, an onsen was simple, but good with both, inside and outside baths. But it seems to me that best days of Ashiwada Hotel are way behind it. The booking.com’s description states that there are no restaurants in...

My first experience in an onsen hotel, tatami and all! So excited sipping green tea at the low table, sitting on the tatami, and with a gorgeous view of Lake Kawaguchi! The breakfast was also very interesting as we were handed multi-segmented trays to place the different local and international cuisine at the buffet! Service was excellent, hotel was clean...

Hotel and cute small If you are situated in a quiet lakeside estuary I heard the hotel employees and where people are less all year round. Although it is Western-style white five-storey There is also a room of Japanese type of tradition There is a feeling of cleanliness every corner to have been cleaned. I can see the lake from...

Firstly, you cannot see Mt Fuji from this hotel because it is tucked behind mountains. BUT, you can use bicycles to cycle around the lake and see it within 10mins. There are no shops, cafes or restaurants in Asiwada's little corner of Lake Kawaguchi, so you are captive to their bizarre restaurant hours. The food is good and cheap, but...

A top hotel near Mt Fuji. The staff were very friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make our stay very pleasant. We even got up graded from a western twin room to their best Japanese room, at no extra cost! When leaving, we were driven to the station by one of the staff in his car, instead...
