Broger's End Kangaroo Valley is unique EcoTourism Australia accredited accommodation, born out of a vision and passion for transforming a rundown old farm into a haven of sustainable living and regenerated native landscape, to be shared with visitors from near and far. The hope is that visiting Broger's End will bring a respite from everyday cares, and an appreciation for the importance of stopping to smell the (native banksia) roses! It has a wide variety of landscapes within its 160 acres, providing a wonderful experience of the Australian countryside. There are 2 houses: The Dairy, a cozy cottage suitable for a couple, which also has a double sofa bed for extra guests if needed; and The Shed a much larger building with 3 double bedrooms 2 bathrooms and huge living spaces and gardens. These can be rented separately or together. They are close enough to enjoy a family getaway but far enough for privacy between houses.

Detailed Reviews
I booked The Shed for our honeymoon and am so glad I did, it was the perfect secluded setting for a few nights away. When our plans had to change last minute due to a death in the family, the Broger’s End staff were incredibly accommodating in adjusting our booking. It meant we could still have a honeymoon and experience the wonderful farm environment they have created. We will definitely be back. The beds are comfy, the coffee machine an amazing addition and plenty of space for a group getaway too. Oh and we were able to bring our dog which is always a bonus!

A very comfortable stay in The Shed with its rustic charm and tranquility.
One down side was the 10am checkout on a Sunday morning. We felt very hurried to leave with the cleaner turning up. She explained it takes 5 hours to do the cleaning. Perhaps 2 people could do the cleaning in half the time to allow people a much more leisurely start to their Sunday.
The dishwasher was also still full of plates that despite having been through the wash cycle had cooked on food still stuck to them. Began the weekend doing someone else's washing up!

Thanks for taking the time to review us and glad you enjoyed the charm of The Shed. We try our best to accommodate all guests with early check ins and late check outs - unfortunately there was guests checking in on the Sunday afternoon you departed however if only you would have been in touch before your stay I could have organised extra help, I like to accommodate where I can at either side of the booking and did work especially hard on the Friday and allowed an early check in for your stay - - Hopefully we can host you again in the future - Please do organise a late check out with us at the time of booking or prior to check in and we will be sure to arrange something :)

We recently spent the weekend at Broger's End. Beautifully converted residence, with unique features everywhere you look. We loved the the outdoor pizza oven, and the courtyard covered in vines was picturesque. Gorgeous views right out the front door, and fantastic bush walking up in the mountains. Walking across the field for a swim in the river at the end of the day was a highlight.

Décor is a hodge-podge of old and recycled "stuff" - none of it matches, but it works! Loads of recycled hardwoods, corrugated iron, old furniture, old tools and fittings. Especially loved the beautiful hardwood flooring!
Huge recreation room, complete with mounted moose head. The valley is quiet and peaceful, but close enough to town if you need anything.

The Shed at Broger's End Kangaroo Valley is the perfect destination to escape the everyday hustle and bustle, withdraw from everyday routine and get lost in unbelievably surrounds of picturesque country! Truly an incredible property inside and out, if you can pry yourself out of their cloud-like beds you’ll love cooking with the fresh produce and the well-stocked kitchen with anything you could need and more. Also playing board games and pool until all hours of the night in the games room (a brilliant space), walking around the property and exploring the small town’s gift shops and cafés. We had very wet weather for most of our stay but all of this meant we still had plenty to do! Highly recommend going up the mountain to Fitzroy Falls, it is a short trip for a magical sight in the national park and lots of walks available. The only drama was an extremely unlikely hiccup with the water on our first night which our Sarah and Mel (plus a very friendly plumber) attended to and accommodated really well considering low wifi / telephone signals. Overall, we had a really fantastic stay & will definitely be returning soon!

So glad you enjoyed the Shed as much as we do, and I'm glad you got to taste our garden produce! Did you go for a bush walk along our rainforest tracks? If not, maybe next time. I hope you will come again and make Broger's End your home away from home. Cheers, Sarah

Amazing weekend, perfect for kids and adults. Lots of cooking and relaxing. The shed is awesome fun. The owner stopped by and was very lovely. The garden is beautiful, we all swam in the creek and went canoeing a few kms away which was great.

What an amazing place.
Quiet, peaceful and relaxing.
Close to everything but far away enough to give you a restful stay.
Fresh eggs from the hens each morning were soooo good.
We would have no hesitation in returning and recommending The Shed

The Shed @ Brogers End was the absolute perfect quiet, yet creative location for the Enough Said Poetry Slam writers' retreat! There was so much space to spread out, both inside (we used the extra shed space, which was huge!) and around the gardens. It was so cool to have fresh eggs, herbs and veggies from the garden during our stay. Some other highlights include the amazing hemp linen, beautiful decor + design, the books + games shelf, pizza oven and the solar panels that power the entire place! It felt amazing to have 6 people there for the weekend, all leaving barely a footprint of environmental damage :) For extra inspiration, we ventured through the fields to the river and were a short drive from town if we needed anything. Mel was super communicative throughout the whole experience and we're looking forward to returning next year! Thank you so much!

Need a quick fix for that frazzled feeling of city life? Looking for a unique experience of eco-friendly, sustainable living that will inspire you to do your part back home? Broger's End is the place to stay. Nothing is lacking, the internal and external environments are simply perfect. Easily reached from Sydney, this lovely place with its varied gardens ready for picking, fresh eggs waiting to be collected and endless trails through gorgeous bushland will soothe your soul. The comfortable beds in well ventilated rooms will soothe your body - especially after a soak in one of the indoor OR outdoor claw footed bathtubs! After a freshly ground coffee in the morning, spectacular views await ... we especially enjoyed our swim in the clear, clean river. This is a place of endless possibilities for visitors from overseas who might want a taste of the true Australian environment to home grown Aussies who want to reconnect with nature. You won't be disappointed!

My partner and I stayed here for two nights. We stayed in the smaller property (the dairy). It was exactly what we needed. So lovely to escape from Sydney for a couple of days. The property is beautiful. We felt really removed from everything. There's no tv, so it was nice to spend some quality time with each other. The view on the valley was beautiful, and the open fire was gorgeous for the cold nights. Very rustic, but I loved that- and excellent value for money. Will definitely stay here again.
